TERMS AND CONDITIONS / SAFETY INFORMATION
1)Enrolment/Fee Policy
1.1 A non refundable $45 Annual Enrolment Fee applies to all students to secure your enrolment.
1.2 Enrolments are for the whole year and are invoiced per school term. Enrolments do not rollover to the next year.
1.3 Term fee invoices will be issued in the last weeks of the previous term. Term fees are due to be paid by the 1st week of each term.
1.4 All accounts must be settled 14 days of the DUE DATE or a $25 administration fee will incur or 5% of total invoice (whichever the greater).
1.5 Students with overdue accounts will be in danger of losing their enrolment position.
1.6 If you are unable to pay fees within the above time allocated, alternate arrangements can be made. Requests for instalments or deferred payments must be sent via email to: [email protected]
2)Enrolment Cancellation
2.1 Students wishing to cancel enrolment mid year will need to email [email protected]
2.2 Students will continue to be invoiced for all classes until written confirmation is received.
2.3 As enrolments are for the entire year, any student not returning for the following must notify the office in writing.
3)Refund Policy
3.1 Prior to the commencement of the term/year, a full refund will only occur if the class is cancelled or postponed.
3.2 In some cases of injury, illness, deferment of fees can be organised provided the office is notified prior to the absence or when the injury/illness first occurs. Refunds/deferments will not be granted if Captiv8 Dance Studio is notified after the student has returned.
4)Injury/Medical Condition Policy
4.1 It is the student’s responsibility to notify their teacher int he event of injury/medical condition during or prior to class.
4.2 All medical conditions need to be reported to the teaching staff prior to the student commencing class. It is the parents responsibility to inform staff of any medical conditions which may affect the students tuition.
4.3 The first aid box is available via class teachers. We are unable to provide anyone with Panadol or equivalent medication.
5)Marketing/Social Media
5.1 Captiv8 Dance Studio may use students names & photos in all marketing materials including Website, advertisements & social media if they have agreed on their enrolment form.
5.2 Students not wishing to be used in the above should advise our office. ***Please note Captiv8 Dance Studio reserves the right to change its policies. Students and parents will be advised of any changes made to these policies. **
6)Uniform
6.1 We ask you wear the Captiv8 Dance shirts provided with registration. You can choose to wear with shorts, leggings/tights or even over the top of a dance leotard as long as you feel comfortable and can move freely.
6.2 Please ensure hair is pulled away from the face for all dance classes.
6.3 Jazz shoes, soft shoes or even barefoot is perfect for all Dance classes. For safety reasons please do not dance in socks.
7)Class Viewing
7.1 A child enrolled in Me And My Grown Up must be accompanied by an adult who will participate with their child throughout the class. One other parent is allowed to watch or take turns with their child.
7.2 For all other classes we ask that parents/carers wait in the small waiting room which has a viewing window. When the roller door is open, you can also view from here.
8)Waiver
8.1 Whilst all due care will be taken, by enrolling/attending any class with Captiv8 Dance Studio you agree to release Captiv8 Dance Studio and all of their employees from liability for any injuries to you or you child while attending any of our classes.
9)Messy Play
9.1 The safety of all messy play attendees is paramount. All Equipment and materials (where applicable) are fully washed and sanitised prior to each session.
9.2 Your child(ren) remain your responsibility while at our messy play session and must be supervised throughout (if you leave the room for any reason, please take your child with you)
9.3 While our materials are taste safe or non toxic, we kindly ask children are refrained from eating them. Please let us know if your child has an allergies.
9.4 Paint may stain, please ensure your child is dressed in old clothing. You may want to bring a towel and change of clothes for yourself and your child. It could get very messy!
9.5 Please try to avoid unnecessary / intentional pouring of materials outside of their immediate play areas so that everyone gets to enjoy the experience.
9.6 NO RUNNING. Whilst we endeavour to clear all spillages as soon as they occur, some of the materials could cause the play area to become slippery.
9.7 We would love to capture photos / videos of your child while enjoying our messy play sessions. Please let us know if you would prefer us to not use these for social media / website / advertising.
10)Boogie Babies (Babywearing)
10.1 Please ensure you are familiar with wearing your baby and you are comfortable.
10.2 We advise for safety reasons your baby is worn facing towards your body either worn on front or back.
10.3 We recommend feeding baby just before class, as this helps to soothe them.
We have bottle warming facilities and a change table available. If you do however need to feed during class that is also ok.
10.4 Please do not attend class if you or baby are unwell. Let us know asap via email [email protected]
10.5 Should you need to bring along other children, we have doll / teddy carriers for them to join in the fun if they wish.
10.6 We understand your body is still recovering from birth and have taken this into consideration when choreographing.
10.7 Ensure you have the all clear from your doctor before attending this class, if early postpartum.
11)End of Year Concert
11.1 Our end of year concert is not compulsory, but highly encouraged.
11.2 A small fee will be invoiced nearer the time to cover the cost of a dance medal (fee to be confirmed)
11.3 We do not require students to purchase concert costumes or any make to be worn. This is all about showcasing what they have learnt throughout the year and to have fun.
