Dancewise Studios Terms and Conditions
Last updated 16th July 2024
All studio communication is sent via email. It is your responsibility to ensure the Dancewise office has an up to date email address for you on file. You agree to be responsible for reading studio correspondence & respecting any deadlines. In the event that Dancewise needs to cancel a class you agree that you will be contacted via email, and the Dancewisers Hug on Facebook, so please check your emails and/or Facebook prior to coming to class.
All tuition is due on or before 1st of the month via Direct Debit. If your account falls into arrears we reserve the right to refuse admission to class until the balance is cleared. Your tuition is calculated based on your Dancewise Experience across a whole year which is then divided by 12 equal monthly instalments for your convenience. This means that you will not pay any extra in months where there are 5 classes but equally you will agree to pay the same amount in December and August where there are less classes. August tuition will be due if you drop from June 1st - September 1st due to the way in which tuition is pro-rated. Your tuition evens out over a whole year. Dropping a class needs to be communicated in writing by emailing [email protected]. If you are not completely delighted with your Dancewise Experience, we offer a 100% money back guarantee on any remaining tuition.
If you can't attend a class for any reason, simply call the office on 023 8001 9845 to arrange a suitable make up class so you don't miss out on your tuition.
We are not able to offer refunds for missed classes unless you are long term sick/injured or if we've cancelled a class and you cannot attend a make up.
If you are long term sick or injured, please just contact the office with your Doctor's note and we will then refund any classes you've paid for that you won't be able to attend and/or not apply further charges until you're ready to come back to class.
If Dancewise needs to cancel a class for any reason we will arrange a make up class for you. Alternatively you may book to attend a make up class of your choice, subject to availability and it being the correct level.
Make up classes for must be booked and used within 28 days of the missed class. Make up classes not booked and used within this time will be forfeited. Make up classes from December and July will carry over for an additional 28 days to reflect the Christmas and Summer breaks (a total of 56 days in total).
Make up classes may only be booked in classes with availability.
You agree to never do any of the following while at Dancewise Studios Ltd:
Watch or record programmes on any channel as they’re being shown on TV or live on an online TV service
Download or watch BBC programmes on iPlayer – live, catch up or on demand.
You understand that this could be on any device, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder.
I understand that if I want to stop paying for a class, I will need to drop that class. If I drop a class, Dancewise will offer my spot to customers on the waiting list and I will forfeit my place in the class. I understand that the only way of guaranteeing my place in a class on a rolling basis is to pay for it on a recurring basis even if I am not able to attend for some of those weeks. Dropping a class needs to be communicated in writing by emailing [email protected].
The Dancewise show is an essential part of our student experience and something that it just wouldn’t be complete without. All Dancewise students participate in the show and it is a truly magical experience with students growing hugely from being involved. Our pricing is Inclusive of full participation in this stunning annual production including a beautiful, aspirational costume which is yours to keep. There are no discounts or refunds for inclusions you choose not to enjoy.
I give permission to Dancewise Studios, its owners and operators to administer first aid and seek medical treatment for the participant. I understand that in an emergency, parents/guardians will be contacted AFTER the emergency services and I support the Dancewise Team in acting in the best of their professional judgement in such situations. I hereby declare any physical/mental problems, restrictions, or condition and/or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.
I understand that as with any physical activity, dance/fitness/performing arts classes involve a degree of risk of strain/injury and that I in no way hold Dancewise Studios or any individual working on it's behalf responsible for any injury howsoever caused.
I agree to Dancewise's policy on physical contact. It is unrealistic and inappropriate for Dancewise to prohibit physical contact between its staff and children. Touch is an essential part of the creative interpretation of roles as well as a means of directing movement, correcting placement, encouraging performance and providing comfort and reassurance. It is important for staff to be sensitive to a child's reaction to physical contact and to act appropriately. Touch must always be related to the needs of the child.
I understand that classes may include a range of teaching methods & subject related activities. I agree that I am paying for the complete Dancewise Experience, not for a specific teacher or dance style and therefore in extraneous circumstances eg staff sickness, I agree that I may enjoy classes with another teacher or of another dance style of an equally high standard. I understand Dancewise is not responsible for personal property and that any lost property is held for 28 days prior to being given to charity. I agree to adhere to any dress code where applicable. I agree to uphold the Dancewise Values at all times:
