·         Registration

Our school registration is free via our website, once you have registered, a confirmation email will be sent along with an email to add your payment method for your monthly automatic payments.

·         Trial classes

All students can start on a pay weekly trial, until the end of the first month. Your invoice will be sent via email.

 

Tuition

The Ella Sheppard School of Performing Arts is moving to a monthly automatic payment from March 2025. Tuition will be collected on the 1st of every month (failed attempts will be tried again)

 

Class price x number of classes in a year , divided into 12 monthly payments.

 

Cancellation notice

One months’ notice will be required if you decide to leave the school after your trial period.

 

Additional costs

Such as private tuition, uniform orders or exams, shows, competitions and events will be invoiced separately.


Keep up to date

It is your responsibility to keep your records such as contact details and medical information up to date. This can be edited via your portal, or emailed into the school.

 

Private tuition cancellation policy

Whilst we understand that people need to cancel appointments and emergencies happen, our business scheduling is very busy. Please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your class. Any cancellations with less than 24 hour’s notice are subject to a cancellation fee amounting to the cost of the scheduled service.


Waiting lists

If you would like to join a class that is full, we will add you to our waiting lists and notify you as soon as a space becomes available.


Child protection policy:

It is the policy of Ella Sheppard school of performing arts. to ensure that every young person who is involved in the school do so in a safe environment and to be protected from neglect, sexual, emotional and physical abuse.

 

  • Anyone under the age of 18 will be considered as a child for the purpose of this document.
  • The welfare of children is paramount.
  • All children without exception have the right to be protected from abuse.
  • Suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
  • To ensure that adults working with children are also protected and aware of the best practice so that they can be protected from wrongful allegations.
  • Working in partnership with parents / guardians / careers is essential for the protection of young people.
  • Confidentiality should be upheld in line with the Data protection act 1998 and the Human rights act 1998.

 

Health and safety:

  • When arriving for classes please always ensure that a teacher is present in the studio.
  • Whilst every care will be taken of students whilst in the dance studio / class, teachers will not be responsible for the welfare and safety of students outside of the class, whether on the hired premises or not.
  • The teachers will not look after other children who are not involved in their class. If you bring other children you must supervise them at all times.
  • Be aware of car parking and of children running to and from classes


By registering with the school you understand that this school has a hand on approach and will only be used when necessary during the students training.

Photo permission is given at point of registration.

From time to time cover teachers may be used which will only teach if their qualifications and experience meet the standards are met.

Classes at the school are counted as physical activity, where there is a risk of injury. Ella Sheppard school of performing arts will make a first aid kit available at all classes, exams and shows. By registering with the school parents / guardians give permission for us to provide simple medical aid for minor injuries or to consult a doctor and / or the emergency services should the teacher feel it necessary. You will of course be contacted immediately should injury / illness occur.

We will not be held responsible for the loss or damage to personal belongings whilst on the premises.
