LM School of Dance

Attendance 

§  Attendance is really important, however if your child cannot be at their class, you must let the principal Laura) know.

§  Coming up to exams or showcase if it can be helped students must not miss a class in the last 4 weeks leading up to these. As lots of preparation is needed for these both. 

§  Any class missed due to illness/holidays etc  still must be paid for. 

Uniform

§  Uniform is compulsory for all students no exceptions and must be wore properly to every class.

§  All new students have one month grace before having to purchase full uniform.

§  Hair must be neat and tidy out of face, preferably in a bun for ballet classes 

§  Uniform must be kept tidy.

§  Uniform is bought from myself as I must get it from one supplier.

§  NO Sainsburys ballet pumps- these are not correct ballet shoes. Ballet pumps must be got from me or ask what make and you can get yourself online.

Fees

§  All classes must be paid for in advance, if you miss a class for any reason, it still must be paid for. If I however cancel a class for any reason the payment for that class will be carried on to the next month.

§  All class fees must be paid by the due date- you the have an additional 7 days to make full payment. You will receive all invoices by email- these can be paid online bank transfer or by cash.  Any payment that is late will result in a late payment fee which is automatically added to your invoice 7 days after the due date. 

§  Fees can only be paid via cash in an envelope with child’s name on it. Any loose cash will not be accepted. Or via Bank Transfer.

§  Private lesson fees MUST be paid for on the day of their lesson. 

Attitude

§  All students must respect their dance teachers and have a good attitude towards them and their dance class.

§  If any student gives bad manners, the teacher will be in contact with the parent to get it resolved.

Exams

§  All students Primary and above will have the opportunity to take one or two exams a year -these are normally around December or Easter time. This year we will be holding an exam session before we go off for Christmas break and hopefully again before easter.

§  Your child does not have to do the exam if they do not want to, but we highly encourage exams for lots of reasons. Only students that are ready to take the exam will be asked to do so, payment for the exam must be in before the invoice date to be accepted.  

End of year show case

§  Every student in LMSOD will take part in our annual showcase which is held in a theatre for all parents and families to enjoy- this is always end of May or June depending on theatre availability. This year we will be charging a £20 participation fee per student to cover costume hire (as for our last show thousands was spent on costumes) and towards any extra practice we might need (e.g. stage rehearsal)
