These terms form part of your agreement when joining 2ThePointe S.S Dance. Membership is open to all, subject to the following conditions:
1. General Safety & Responsibility
2ThePointe accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of personal belongings while on the premises.
2ThePointe accepts no liability for injuries sustained while participating in classes or on the premises.
Parents/guardians must notify staff of any changes to registration details promptly.
2. Staff, Supervision & Cover Teachers
All staff, including cover teachers, volunteers, and trainees, are qualified, experienced, and DBS checked.
A first aider is always on site during classes.
Students must seek staff permission before leaving the dance space. Toilet breaks will be supervised, and dancers aged 7+ may use the adult toilets with a maximum time of 3 minutes unless further assistance is required.
Cover Teachers & Supervisors:
When a class is being covered by our cover supervisor:
A full debrief and detailed lesson plan is always provided to ensure continuity.
No new content will be taught; classes focus on reinforcing previous learning and supporting progression.
The cover supervisor is supported by our Head Girl / Teacher in Training.
All cover supervisors are fully qualified, responsible, and hold all current and relevant certifications to safely run classes, assist with rehearsals, and support dancers’ progression.
3. Behaviour & Conduct
Racist, sexist, all forms of bullying or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Membership may be terminated without notice at the discretion of Samantha Steatham-Edmunds.
4. Performances & Shows
Parents/carers will be invited to view performances or celebrate dancers’ progress in advance.
For new or particularly unconfident dancers, parents may observe the first 10 minutes of a class, after which they will be asked to wait in the designated area.
Costumes and props are provided where possible. Parents may be invoiced for additional costume requirements.
5. Video & Photography Disclaimer
2ThePointe may take photographs or videos during classes, rehearsals, showcases, and performances for promotional, educational, or internal purposes.
These materials may be shared on social media, the website, or in marketing materials.
By enrolling your dancer, you consent to 2ThePointe using images or videos that include your child unless you have provided written notice to opt out.

6. Communication
Email – The Best Way to Contact Us
Please email us first; this is the most effective and efficient way to reach the team.
Tania checks and replies to emails on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. She communicates with Sam and ensures prompt responses.

Sam will respond at her earliest convenience; delays may occur due to teaching commitments.
Tania and Stephanie are available during studio opening hours to assist.
In-Person / Drop-Off Queries
You are welcome to speak with Stephanie at drop-off and collection times.
She can pass information on to Sam and may assist with questions directly.
7. Food & Drink
Chewing gum and fizzy drinks are strictly forbidden.
Dancers may bring water; small snacks are permitted if attending multiple classes.
8. Uniform
Students must wear appropriate dance clothing; school uniform is not permitted.
Hair must be tied back; no jewellery.
Dance shoes appropriate to class type:
Ballet – pink shoes with elastic
Tap – black tap shoes with black elastic for laces
Acro – bare feet
Performance – black jazz shoes
Personalised 2ThePointe items may be worn over uniform but may be removed if needed.
Lost property will be donated at the end of each term.
9. Attendance & Punctuality
Children must arrive 5 minutes before class.
Late arrivals (after 15 minutes) may be refused entry.
Parents/guardians must collect dancers promptly; emergency procedures will be followed if children are left unsupervised.
10. Booking, Waiting Lists & Placement Priority
All classes must be booked in advance; no drop-in classes are available.
11. Payments, Fees & Subscriptions
Monthly membership fees collected via direct debit on the 28th of each month.
Late payments incur a £20 fee.
Absences, missed classes, or holidays are non-refundable.
Subscription fee: £17.50 annually, pro-rated for new dancers, added to the second invoice.
12. Additional Items & Services
Branded goods, CDs, costumes, and uniforms are ordered upon receipt of payment.
Personalised items ordered in error are non-refundable.
Parties, workshops, and summer schools are non-refundable.
13. Non-Payment & Late Fee
2ThePointe reserves the right to withhold services if fees are outstanding.
A £20 late fee will be applied automatically to payments not received by the due date.
Data regarding unpaid fees may be shared with debt collection agencies if necessary.
Parents/guardians are asked not to cancel direct debits manually, as this may incur additional charges and confusion.
14. Class Changes & School Leavers
4 weeks’ notice is required for all changes or school leavers.
Notice must be submitted via email, ideally on the 1st of the month, for changes to be applied accurately the following month.
Failure to provide notice within this timeframe will result in another month’s fees being charged.
You are welcome to continue attending the classes already paid for until changes take effect.
15. Attendance & Absences
Students must arrive on time, ideally 5 minutes before class.
Late arrivals may be refused entry.
Collection must be by the designated adult caregiver unless prior formal notification is provided.
Students absent for more than two classes per term without notice may risk losing their place in certain dances and may only participate in sections they are familiar with.
Missed classes due to illness or unavoidable circumstances are non-refundable.
16. Lockdowns & Pandemics
If classes cannot run due to government directives, online classes may be offered.
Refunds are not provided, but rescheduled classes may be offered where possible.
17. Refund Policy
No refunds for missed classes, private tuition, workshops, holidays, or parties.
Full refunds are only provided if a class, workshop, or course is fully booked on receipt of payment and cannot accommodate the dancer.
18. Home Activity Safety
When participating in activities at home, ensure:
There is enough space to move safely.
The flooring is safe and free from hazards.
Suitable attire is worn, hair tied back, and jewellery removed.
A parent/guardian consents to participation.
Warm-up and cool-down are completed.
Avoid activities if feeling unwell or injured.
Stay hydrated.
Have fun and enjoy the activity.
