TRIALS - We offer 2 weeks free trial classes for prospective students. We require sufficient identification, contact and health details, before attending trial classes, to allow us to offer the required responsibility to each child attending trial classes.
JOINING SDA - After trial classes, fees for the remainder of the term must be paid in full by BACs, debit/credit card or cash. A completed enrolment form must be received.
PAYMENTS - All invoices must be paid within 14 days of issue. A £5 late fee will be added to unpaid invoices past this time. Deposits for any activities, costumes, shows or other events are non-refundable. We regret that refunds will not be issued for any missed classes and all registered classes must be paid for whatever the reason for absence. If SDA needs to cancel classes for any reason, eg bad weather, we will reschedule where possible or apply a credit to the following terms fees. In the event of a lockdown, where classes cannot continue in the studios, classes will continue online via the Zoom app.
UNIFORM & MERCHANDISE - We believe that wearing studio uniform gives a sense of belonging to our SDA family and, as such, is compulsory. All items of uniform can be purchased from the SDA Dance Boutique in the studio building and must be paid for at the time of purchase. Faulty merchandise will be replaced or refunded if returned within 14 days.
ATTENDANCE - As a member of SDA your commitment is to ensure your child attends their classes on time each week in the correct uniform and with the correct shoes needed. Absences can impact the social and confidence-building principles we work hard to foster. If you know ahead of time that your child will be missing due to holidays, school events, other commitments or they are too unwell, please let us know. Parents/carers are not allowed in the studios to watch classes as children concentrate better and achieve more without the added distraction of studio visitors. Shows and watching weeks will give you the opportunity to see your child's progress and class involvement.
LIABILITY - Teachers are qualified, experienced, CRB checked and insured. They are also aware of our child protection policy. Due to the nature of teaching dance, physical contact may be necessary but this is always done with the utmost care and respect for students. We do not accept liability for loss, damage or injury caused by omissions or errors on the enrolment form completed by yourself or the person in charge of your child at enrolment. We do not accept liability for any injury or death for students attending classes, unless caused by negligence by a member of our staff. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
MISCELLANEOUS - Photographs and film of students may be taken during classes and performances for publicity use. By completing the enrolment form you are consenting to this unless we are notified to the contrary. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are entering into an agreement between SDA and yourself in connection with classes and services we offer. You are also consenting to receive email marketing from SDA until which time you indicate us to stop.
