TERMS AND CONDITIONS
APPLICATION AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT
Please carefully review our comprehensive terms and conditions outlined below. By completing and signing the registration form, you are entering into a binding agreement with THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY, effective from the commencement of your membership or the date of any service performance (whichever occurs earlier). This document, along with the contract, constitutes the entire agreement between us, and any enrolled student is bound by these terms and conditions through their attendance of classes. As a courtesy, please inform us if your child participates in additional dance classes elsewhere. THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY bears no liability for injuries related to dance if classes are taken elsewhere.
1. ENROLLMENT/REGISTRATION
1.1 Joining of Classes and Free Trial:
Upon joining THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY, each student is entitled to a trial of each offered class. Official membership begins from the first class attended, with a commitment to a minimum three-month term. Payment for the initial three months is required upon enrolment to ensure a consistent and uninterrupted learning experience.
1.2 Termination of Classes:
Should you wish to terminate classes, notice must be provided to our administrator via email four weeks prior to leaving. The last month of membership fees must be paid in full.
1.3 Cancellations of Classes:
To be entitled to a refund, cancellation or notification of inability to attend a class must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
1.4 Complaints Procedure:
To register a complaint, please contact Maxine Williams (Secretary & Safeguarding Officer). All complaints will be addressed within 24 hours, and we are committed to fair resolution and continuous improvement.
2. FEES & PAYMENT PROCEDURE
2.1 Joining Fee:
A joining fee of £20 is applicable upon enrolment.
2.2 Go Cardless:
Fees are to be paid exclusively via Go Cardless. Monthly fees are dispatched on the 1st of each month and are due by the 7th of the same month.
2.4 Late Fees:
Late payments may incur additional charges. If payment is not received by the end of the second week of the month, a 10% surcharge may be applied.
2.5 Payment Statements:
Statements showing account status are available upon request. Unsettled/unpaid account statements are distributed during the month via email, or can be seen via class manager.
2.6 Refund Policy:
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. In the event of class cancellations by IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY, a full refund will be provided.
2.7 Changing Membership:
To modify your child’s classes or add new ones, please contact our management team to arrange the start date of the new membership.
3. STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
For an optimal learning experience, we expect students to:
• Come prepared with the correct uniform and footwear, free of jewellery.
• Practice at home when required.
• Listen attentively in class.
• Respect all staff and students, with zero tolerance for bullying or abusive language.
• Dedicate 100% effort in class.
• Exercise patience.
• Refrain from chewing in class, with snacks allowed in between classes.
• Report all injuries and illnesses to the teacher at the start of class.

4. PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Main Form of Correspondence:
Parents/Guardians are the primary contact and must ensure all details are accurate and promptly notify us of any changes.
4.2 Be Aware of Information:
Parents/Guardians are responsible for regularly checking the website/emails/messages/noticeboards for updates regarding THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY classes/timetables/events.
4.3 Duty to Care:
THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY is not responsible for children before or after lessons; prompt collection is expected.
4.4 Retain Necessary Documents:
Retain payment receipts; in case of disputes, THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY records will be considered as proof.
4.5 Behaviour:
Parents/Guardians are expected to:
• Encourage their child's perseverance.
• Understand the learning process.
• Wait in designated areas to avoid distractions.
• Discourage negative behaviour, including meanness, bullying, gossip, exclusion, and unnecessary drama.
5. HEALTH & SAFETY
5.1 Child Protection:
All children have a right to be safe, and we are committed to providing a secure environment for all, irrespective of background or status.
5.2 Teachers:
All teachers of THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY undergo DBS checks, and physical contact is conducted professionally for correctional purposes.
5.3 First Aid:
To ensure dance at THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY is safe and catered for injuries, there will always be First Aid trained personnel on-site.
5.4 Insurance:
THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY holds Public Liability Insurance.
5.5 Liabilities:
No responsibility is accepted by THE IRIS ELITE DANCE COMPANY for any items lost or damaged, whether in class or in the changing room.
6. BREACH OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Pupils may be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions or other serious misconduct
