• At Adiktd Dance Studio we promote dancing in a fun, safe and professional environment. To achieve this, it is expected that all students and parents behave in a polite, responsible and courteous manner and always commit to giving 100% effort. Teachers, Students and Parents are always to be respected.
• Students are to arrive and be picked up on time for each class. It is always mandatory for students to wait inside and adhere to this to keep them safe.
• Whilst waiting the students are expected to warm up and practice. If a student, he/she injures themselves whilst waiting Adiktd Dance Studio will not be held responsible. It is the student’sresponsibility to undertake safe dance practice whilst waiting.
• Students are not to have an enrolled association with any other dance studio/school. While students may attend tuition through their school setting or attend other studios for tuition in styles that are not covered at our studio (eg. Highland or Cheerleading) and can attend workshops and open classes with other studios/schools, students must commit to Adiktd Dance Studio first.
• During instruction, it may be necessary for the teacher to make physical contact with the student in order to demonstrate correct technique or execution of an exercise or choreography.
• Students who wish to train at alternate schools or performance programs without informing or negotiating with the Principal will result in immediate cancellation of enrolment.
• All routines, video content and cut music taught at Adiktd Dance Studio are owned by the copyright law held by Adiktd Dance Studio. Applies to all routines including Competition Routines.
• Any routine choreographed at Adiktd Dance Studio is not to be performed without permission from the Principal.
• Absolutely no choreography taught at Adiktd Dance Studio is to be coached by another teacher/instructor/coach that is not associated to Adiktd Dance Studio. Penalties willapply.
Classes/Syllabus and Performances
• Participation in ADA Examinations, Eisteddfods and Public Performances is at the discretion of theteaching staff. Participation in these events will incur extra costs which are the sole responsibility ofthe parent.
• All Ballet students which are to participate in exams (Primary and above) must attend two ballet classesper week. As they are needing to obtain the required level of strength and flexibility, it is also beneficialthat students enrol in a Stretch N’ Strengthen class.
• Syllabus work is copyright of ADA and not to be used for demonstration or performance outside of thestudio.
• At the end of the year the studio will perform a concert/showcase. While participation is not compulsory,once committed students are expected to attend all classes and rehearsals and be responsible for thecost of their own costumes. This performance may be videoed in which students without media releasepermission may not participate.
• All class placement is at the discretion of the staff, meaning students may be moved class afteran evaluation is made.
