Terms and Condtions

 

All fees must be paid on the first day of each term either via bank transfer or put into a named envelope

· Fees cannot be refunded or deducted if a student is absent

· If you require a receipt please request one with your payment

· Fees are subject to change

 

The dance year consists of approximately 40-50 lessons depending on extra coaching and holidays etc. Classical Ballet, Jazz and hip hop are performing arts and certain levels of technique and fitness must be achieved. If a student is absent, he or she will miss vital teaching and training and this may result in them not being ready or able to take exams. 

 

Ards Dance Company reserves the right to terminate a students place in the event of the following:

 

· Unpaid fees

· If a parent/guardian does not adhere to the General Regulations

· If staff or other students are treated in an abusive manner by a parent/guardian

· If the students behaviour is disruptive or harmful to other students or staff

· If the student fails to adjust to ballet school/class etiquette and discipline

 

Please keep noise levels to a minimum within the building and put all litter in the bins provided.

 

· The dance teacher cannot be responsible for any incidents that happen outside the dance studio

· Please do not let children run around

· Kindly ensure that children have visited the bathroom before class and washed their hands.

· Please report any illnesses or injuries to the teacher beforeclass. This year in particular, if your child is suffering from any illnesses that are contagious please keep them at home until they are well again.

· If your son/daughter has asthma and/or allergies and carries medication this mustbe brought with them into the dance studio.

· Please ensure children are collected promptly after class. Children will stay with the teacher in the dance studio/changing room until collection.

· Please let me know if your son/daughter will be absent for any reason.

· Photographs and video may be taken for promotional or rehearsal purposes 

· 'Hands-on Teaching' is an important and necessary part of dance training.

 

In the event of extreme weather etc classes may have to be cancelled. Please check the website or Facebook for information.Classes will be made up at a later date but this may not occur on usual days or times.

 

ARDS Dance Co COVID-19 Policy

 

 

 

All parents and students should now be signed up to our online system and have therefore agreed to the following policy.

 

Prior to opening, the building will be cleaned and sanitised and hand sanitisers in place. 

 

1.    Screening measures

 

All students and teachers have agreed that they will not attend class if displaying any of the following symptoms:

·      A fever in the last 2 weeks?

·      A cough or breathing difficulties?

·      If they have lost or noticed a change in their taste or smell within the last 14 days?

·      Increased fatigue?

·      If anyone in the family that you live with, has shown any of the above symptoms within the last 14 days?

·      Known exposure to someone diagnosed with Covid-19 within the last 14 days?

If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, they will not be permitted to attend class. 

2.   Enter and Exit

 

·      Parents and students to line up (socially distanced) outside the main entrance and should not enter until the time of their class

·      Temperate checks will then take place on entry

·      The main door will be opened 5 minutes prior to the commencement of class.

·      Only ARDS staff and students permitted inside the building. NO parents or guardians can enter

·      Students must sanitise before and after class

·     *Students with allergies to certain hand sanitisers must bring and apply their own* 

·      Internal doors will be wedged open. 

·      Immediately after class, all students will exit to be collected in the precinct courtyard

 

 

3.    All students should arrive dressed and ready for class

 

·      Students should bring essential items only in a bag – those doing ballet and jazz should wear convertible tights to allow for a quick transition between classes. 

·      If personal items are not removed at the end of class, they will be disposed of immediately. 

·      There will be no lost property.

 

4.   Cleaning 

 

·      Use of props will be kept to a minimum and sanitised after each use. 

·     All surfaces (ballet barres, door handles) and equipment will be sanitised before and after each class. 

·     We will ensure to have appropriate cleaning products available but secure from young students. 

·     Bins will be emptied at the end of the day.

·     Breaks have been given during the timetable to allow for cleaning so please do not arrive early as you will not be permitted entry

 

  1. Administration procedures 

We will try to keep as many administrative procedures as possible online (billing, communications). We are using ‘Class Manager’ software.

 

6.   Records

We will keep a record of all teachers and students in the building, for the purpose of identifying close contact with infected persons in the event of an outbreak of Covid-19. We are using ‘Class Manager’ software.

7.    Staff safety 

We will respect the rights of any member of staff who may be unable to work at this time.

 

8.    Classes

·     In the event of another Covid-19 shutdown all classes will be offered virtually.
