Terms and Conditions

We (Atomic Dance) offer a wide range of in-person and online dance classes. By participating in our classes you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

EXPECTATIONS

1) You will drop off and collect your child to/from their class on time. Atomic Dance teachers cannot be held responsible for your child before or after the agreed-upon class times. In the event that you will be late to collect your child, you must notify us via phone or email. In the event of multiple late pickups, Atomic Dance reserves the right to refuse entry to class and charge a late pick-up fee of £5 per week. (You will be notified before this happens). 

2) Students are wearing suitable clothing including footwear, with hair tied back if long enough, have a safe environment to exercise in (if taking part online) and are free from injury and in good health. If your child is recently returning from injury or illness, you must speak to a health professional prior to (re)starting Atomic Dance classes. Once enrolled into a class, you must purchase the class uniform for your child.

3)Your child will come to class with a full water bottle.

4) Your child is able to go to the bathroom unattended unless you will be remaining onsite to help them during their class.

5) If your child feels unwell in class they must stop exercising immediately and request assistance from their teacher. Atomic Dance staff will sit your child out or call the parent on file to collect early. 

6) Atomic Dance teachers are all qualified dance/movement educators. Please trust that decisions are always made based on what is deemed best for your child during class.

7) Your child will, to the best of their ability, be kind to all other Atomic Dance students and teachers. 

8) Your child will respect and listen to their Atomic Dance teachers to the best of their ability.

In the unlikely event of any instances involving your child breaking terms; 7 or 8, you agree to partake in Atomic Dances Three Strike Policy:

- 1st strike - A call to the parent/guardian of the involved child and explain the situation - a spoken apology from the child to the teacher or student will be expected. 

-2nd strike- A meeting with the parent/guardian of the involved child will be arranged to try and resolve the matter. 

-3rd strike- The involved child will be removed from all Atomic Dance classes temporarily or permanently.

Atomic Dance reserves the right to remove from our programme, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour.

ACCIDENTS AND MEDICAL

1) There is an element of risk when taking part in any physical activity. By enrolling in Atomic Dance classes, you acknowledge that your child chooses to take part at their own risk. Atomic Dance and all teachers are not liable for any accidental injuries that may occur to your child before, during or after class.

2) If your child has any health concerns, injuries or longstanding medical conditions you must notify the instructor at the beginning of the class and follow the modifications advised throughout the class - include information of these in your profile upon enrolment. You must notify us of any changes to your child's physical health if they will affect their safety in class.

3) First Aid care can be given to your child by their teacher. Any accidents/injuries will be communicated to you upon collection and an accident report will be written up and kept by Atomic Dance. 

4) Illness - Your child is attending classes at their own risk, and Atomic Dance cannot be held responsible if your child gets ill after attending their class. Please refrain from bringing your child to class if they have had any form of illness within 48 hours of the class.

PHOTO/VIDEO CONSENT

1) Atomic Dance, use photos or videos taken during class for advertising purposes. This includes but is not limited to: 

- Social media (facebook and instagram)

,- On the Atomic Dance website 

- Printed adverts/posters and banners. 

Photos or videos of your child may be used by Atomic Dance for advertising purposes unless you have told Atomic Dance that you do not want this to happen. Please declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use, and keep us up-to-date should this change.

PAYMENT - Main School 

1) After your trial, classes are paid via a monthly membership. Paid-for spaces will be given priority. The price is calculated by the average number of classes in the year and remains the same each month, regardless of how many classes are in that month. (On average each monthly payment covers 3.5 weeks of classes). Payment will leave your account on the first of every month, with no payment in August. Any classes your child misses due to illness or other commitments, will not be eligible for a refund, but students can attend a make-up class throughout the month if arranged with Atomic Dance.

3) 2 weeks' notice is required to withdraw from classes.

4) Notice must be given to Atomic Dance by email ([email protected]) at least 2 weeks before your next payment is due. If you notify them after this date, your next month's payment will still be processed before the membership is cancelled. Your child is able to keep attending classes until your membership ends.

During your notice period, your child can attend any sessions they choose, provided there is space in the class. This is in the hope that they find an alternative class they prefer, instead of leaving Atomic Dance permanently. 

5) If there are any sessions missed due to cancellations by Atomic Dance, we will offer a make-up session, or a refund will be sent

6) Payments are taken automatically via stripe. In the event that your card is declined, another attempt will be made. If your class payment is not made by month's end, Atomic Dance may refuse class entry until it is sorted.

PAYMENT - After-School Clubs

1) Payments are made termly. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

2) If your child would like to withdraw from classes after signing up for the term, we require 2 weeks' notice via email. A refund will be given for the rest of the term, bar the notice period. 

3) Bookings are only to cover the current term, if your child wants to continue the next term, you need to rebook them on the class. 

4) If there are any sessions missed due to cancellations by Atomic Dance, we will offer a make-up session or a refund will be sent.

5) After-school club students can also attend a makeup class at any of our other venues (Main school classes only, not other schools after school clubs). 

WORKSHOP BOOKINGS

1) Payments for workshops are taken before the event. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. In the event that your child can no longer make the workshop, let us know with a minimum 7 days notice to be eligible for a refund.

2) All terms and conditions listed in this document under Expectations/Accidents and Medical/Photo and Video Consent are still valid during workshops.

3) Students must attend workshops with a packed lunch, water and snacks (no nuts!)
