TUITION AND FEES

WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BILL THE CREDIT CARD ON FILE EACH MONTH FOR THE AMOUNT OF TUITION DUE, INCLUDING ANY OUTSTANDING BALANCE FOR PREVIOUS MONTHS. It is expected that you will remain current in paying tuition. Tuition is charged between the 25th-3rd of each month. There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee that will be charged to your account upon registration for the current school year. There are no registration fees in the summer. Dropping during the semester or school year will result in a $50 drop fee plus the current month's tuition that they dropped in.

The following fees are applied to certain classes, camps and shows. Costume Rental Fees & Registration Fee. They are listed on the website and on the class description for each specific class. Failure to pay any of these fees will result in the student not getting the item.

There are optional media purchases that can be made throughout the year such as T-Shirts, Videos and Headshots.

ATTENDANCE

It is important that students are consistent and punctual in their attendance to promote a positive learning and performance experience for themselves and their classmates. It is expected that when a student registers for a class, he/she will continue to attend from the beginning date through the end date of the class. Late arrival or early departure from class is discouraged, and no tuition reduction will be given for missing classes. If a student is late to a dance class or aerial silks class by more than 10 minutes they will be asked to sit and watch.

Student safety is foundational to a successful learning experience. To help ensure student safety, we request that you show up on time to pick up your student from classes, rehearsals and performances. If the student is not picked up within 15 minutes after class commences, then the teacher will call the emergency contact that was provided on their registration. Five minutes after a class ends, teachers are no longer liable for the students safety.

BEHAVIOR

The Backstage Performing Arts policies are designed to promote a positive, safe, organized experience for students and their families. Our goal is for every student to thrive in a positive, nurturing environment that fosters learning, growth, and achievement. Cooperative, respectful behavior is expected during classes, rehearsals, performances, and activities. Respect for instructors, staff, and other students will be consistently shown. No discrimination, profanity, bullying, or disrespectful behavior is allowed either in person or by means of social media. A student or family that violates this policy may be dismissed from Backstage Performing Arts.

For students under 18, we will follow a Three Strike Rule. On the 1st strike the student will be asked to sit and watch. The 2nd strike will require a parent to supervise class until the behavior subsides. On the 3rd strike, the student will be required to withdrawal from their current class.  We love and welcome all students, but must be able to focus our time on teaching for the benefit of each student in the class without devoting extensive time to improving or monitoring the behavior of any individual student. Any student asked to withdraw from class will be charged nothing further in fees and tuition.  If parental involvement is necessary to correct any behavior, parents will be notified by the teacher and invited to a class session to evaluate and assist their student.

COMMUNICATION

All communication, including class, rehearsals, performance, and payment information, will be conducted through email. A current email address is, therefore, required to register for a class, and if there is a change in email address, it is the responsibility of the student's primary contact to make the needed change to the email address using the Customer Portal. If you haven't received any emails by the first week of classes, it is the primary contact's responsibility to contact Backstage to make sure the email is correct in the system. Those participating in musicals or bigger programs will be required to download the private BAND app for Backstage rehearsal/classes.

ATTIRE

Students are required to provide the correct clothing and shoes for the specific class or show they are enrolled in. For any performance, students will need to provide a "base costume" to wear underneath any costumes.
