Confirmation
Dance class registrations are confirmed by completing all sections on the registration form, agreeing to the terms and conditions, and forwarding the information to staff or emailing [email protected].
Payment
Full payment must be made prior to taking a class. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or PayPal. In the event the customer does not provide payment, the customer will not be permitted to participate in the dance class. If there are any problems with payment, please see a staff member before taking the class.
Upfront Payment
Upfront payments are to be made before classes commence and are nonrefundable under any circumstance after the trial period.
Trial Period
Once payment is made, there is a cooling-off period of 9 days. Free trial classes are given on the first student’s first class. In the event a cancellation is made after the trial period, the initial trial class will be deducted from the full amount paid.
Attendance & Lateness
In the event a student is unable to make the class in time, full payment must be made prior to taking the class. There will be no discounts provided to students attending late classes.
Changes to Classes
Class timetables may be changed at the discretion of the management. A 24-hour notice will be provided if there is a change in class times. If classes fall on a public holiday, these classes will be cancelled, and a make-up class will be provided.
Suspension
Management holds the right to suspend students for any length of time if students act negatively against any students, teachers, or management. If students are enrolled in the term, none of the payments will be refunded upon suspension.
Cancellation
In the regrettable situation where a student must leave class early or misses class, no credit or make-up will be given.
Teachers
If scheduled teachers are not able to make their classes, an alternative teacher with equal or greater qualifications will replace the teacher.
Duty of Care, Safety & Conduct
The dance teacher will take reasonable duty of care in every situation and aim to provide safety and care for the students whilst on the premises. Students are responsible for their own conduct, behaviour, and personal safety whilst on the premises. The dance teacher does not take responsibility for actions outside of the premises. Students and their guardians consent to partake in dance classes at their own risk and participate within their own limitations and capabilities. Students and their guardians agree not to place themselves or others in dangerous situations. Students and guardians acknowledge that dance and performance-related activities are high-risk activities and may involve elements of danger. Social media slander will not be accepted, which includes Facebook, Twitter, and any other internet or social-based outlets.
Damages
The signatory will be responsible for any damage sustained to school property. The signatory will be chased for any repairs, labour, or replacement deemed necessary by management.
Responsibility
The dance teacher does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises before, during, or after dance classes. The student and the guardian are responsible for their personal belongings and property whilst on the premises. The student and their guardian release BKODE staff, instructors, agents, and directors from any responsibility in any way for the loss or damage of their personal property. The student and their guardian shall make no claim adversely impacting, causing hardship, or unique stress on the dance teachers in their actions.
Unforeseen Circumstances
If BKODE cannot comply with any of the provisions within this agreement due to cessation or interruption of electricity, gas supply, industrial disputes, equipment failure, or any unforeseen circumstance or accident, BKODE will not be liable.
Additional Charges
BKODE classes do not include activities during the school holidays. Any services provided outside of the standard timetable will be notified by management and staff at least 24 hours in advance.
Media Consent
The student and their guardian give consent to the release of any photo and video footage obtained of the student whilst on the premises during the dance classes. The student and their guardian give consent to the photo and video footage being used by BKODE for advertising, including but not limited to www.bkode.com.au and www.youtube.com. Any photo or video footage obtained on the premises remains the sole property of BKODE.
