This privacy policy sets out how Buckley Theatre School uses and protects any information that you give when you use this registration system.

Buckley Theatre School is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. As a data controller we determine the purpose and means of processing personal data. If information is provided by you, it will only be used in accordance to this privacy policy.

Buckley Theatre School may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 16th August 2021

What we collect and how is the information used?

So that we can provide you with our services we ask you to submit the required information on the registration form. This information will be processed for us to be able to respond to the request and therefore has been provided by you with your consent.

This data is used for contractual obligations and is needed in accordance to child welfare and protection, without this information we cannot fulfil the contractual agreement.

By completing the registration form you consent to the following:

Your/your child’s information can be shared with The BBOdance examination board or an alternative exam board, for use in any dance examinations.

Your/your child’s information can be shared with Wigan Council and any other local council where we may perform for use in the required licences.

Your/your child’s information can be shared with any dance festival or competition organisers in which we are competing.

Your/your child’s information to be shared with any theatre/performance space in which we are performing, should it be required.

You/your child’s photograph (taken in class or while performing) can be used on The Buckley Theatre School’s and/or Urban Funk Dance’s social media and The Buckley Theatre School website and for publicity purposes.

If you do not want your child’s images to be used for this purpose you must contact us in writing.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Internal record keeping on a GDPR compliant database

We may use the information to improve our products and services.

Staff are engaged in the processing and concluding of your order, including the processing of payments, and contractual services. By submitting your personal data you agree to this. Staff have processor agreements in place in accordance to EU law.

How long do we keep the data

Proof of consent to the terms and conditions of Buckley Theatre School, along with consent for photography and filming will be kept indefinitely. All other sensitive data will be destroyed when any contractual agreements come to an end.

Access to your data

Here at Buckley Theatre School we understand the trust that you have in us with your personal and child’s data and we are committed its security and privacy. You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Database

Buckley Theatre School use Classmanager a GDPR compliant CRM system to maintain records, invoices and for contractual emails in accordance to the dance school activities.

On leaving the school, your details are deactivated and archived. Should you wish these to be deleted you will need to write to the school to request this action. Achieved details are kept for legitimate business purposes such as fraud and proof within legal cases.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online, in transit and storage.

We will not share your data with any other 3rd parties, except those consented to above.
