1. Our Agreement with You
When you enrol yourself or your child/ren with Buttercross
Theatre Productions (BTP), you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is between BTP and you as the parent/guardian
(or the enrolled adult student). It remains in place for as long as the student
is enrolled with us, unless written notice is given in line with these terms.
2. Changes to Sessions
Occasionally, changes may be necessary due to illness or circumstances beyond our control. This may affect:
Workshop times, Venues, Performances, Teaching staff
If this happens, we will always let you know as soon as
possible via email, text message, or our social media pages.
3. Changes to These Terms
From time to time, we may need to update these Terms and
Conditions. If we do, we will let you know in advance.
4. Behaviour and Conduct
We aim to create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.
BTP reserves the right to remove a student from a session, workshop, or performance without refund if their behaviour puts others at risk or disrupts the group. This includes: Bullying, or intimidation, Threatening behaviour, Persistent disruption, Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

5. Keeping in Touch
Please make sure we always have your up-to-date contact
details. If we are unable to reach you due to incorrect information, BTP cannot
be held responsible for any issues that arise.
6. Enrolment and Places
Your child’s place is only confirmed once payment has been
received. Paid places are always given priority.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. In line with GDPR regulations:
We only keep information necessary to keep students safe
We never share your personal information with third parties

8. Personal Belongings and Injuries
While every care is taken, BTP and its staff cannot accept
responsibility for any lost belongings or injuries that may occur during
sessions.

10. Payments
Payment are made when enrolment is made for classes through Class Manager. We accept payment by: Debit/Credit Card. Payments can also be made by Bank Transfer and Cash.
Payments must be made at least two weeks before the start
of term.
Please note: enrolments made through Class Manager will
include an additional booking fee.
11. Cancellations and Refunds (Our Sessions)
If we ever need to change a venue or session time, we will only do so when absolutely necessary and will do our best to keep disruption to a minimum.
If BTP has to cancel a session:
We will try to offer a make-up session
If this isn’t possible, a refund will be issued
Sessions may also be cancelled due to bad weather to ensure
everyone’s safety. The same make-up or refund policy will apply.
12. Refunds for Other Reasons
If a class has to be cancelled because minimum numbers are
not met, all payments will be refunded.
13. Safeguarding
Your child’s safety is extremely important to us.
If a child makes a disclosure that is considered an emergency, we may need to contact relevant external agencies.
If a safeguarding concern is identified during a session:
The student may be suspended while we investigate
The student will not attend sessions during this time
If it is decided that a student poses a risk to others or to
staff, they will be excluded from BTP activities. In these circumstances, no
refund will be issued. We will always aim to reach a decision as quickly as
possible.
14. Sickness
To help keep everyone safe:
Please do not attend if you or your child show symptoms of Covid
Please do not attend if you have been in contact with someone who has Covid
We also ask that students do not attend within 48 hours of any illness
If your child misses a session due to illness, holidays, or
personal choice, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds.
15. Leaving BTP
If you or your child no longer wish to attend sessions, we require half a term’s notice.
Once a term has been paid for, we are unable to offer
refunds if you choose to stop attending part-way through the term.
Photography
Consent for Photography & Filming - There will be times when we would like to take photographs and film students for our productions, classes and publicity. Photography and filming will only be used for students to see themselves in action and for marketing and publicity. We will select photos for use on our website and social media pages. You must declare if you do not want yourself or your child to be photographed for marketing use.

1. PurposeThis Code of Conduct outlines the
standards of behaviour expected from everyone involved in our organisation,
including performers, crew, volunteers, staff, contractors, and board members.
Our goal is to foster a creative, inclusive, safe, and respectful environment
where everyone can thrive.
We are committed to:

• Respect and professionalism

All members must:
• Treat others with dignity, courtesy, and respect
• Communicate constructively and professionally
• Respect boundaries (physical, emotional, and professional)
• Value diversity of background, identity, and perspective
• Follow rehearsal and performance etiquette
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive behaviour will
not be tolerated.
We do not tolerate discrimination
or harassment based on (but not limited to):
• Race or ethnicity
• Gender identity or expression
• Sexual orientation
• Disability
• Age
• Religion or belief
• Socioeconomic background
Sexual harassment, coercion, unwanted physical contact, or inappropriate
comments are strictly prohibited.
All participants must:
• Follow health and safety procedures
• Use equipment responsibly
• Report hazards immediately
• Follow direction from stage management and technical leads
• Avoid attending rehearsals or performances while impaired by drugs or alcohol
• Arrive on time and prepared
• Respect rehearsal schedules
• Limit distractions (e.g., mobile phone use during rehearsal)
• Take direction professionally
• Respect confidential creative discussions
Where applicable:
• Appropriate supervision must be maintained at all times
• Private one-on-one situations should be avoided unless transparent and
documented
• All safeguarding policies must be followed
Members must:
• Avoid posting content that harms the organisation’s reputation
• Respect confidentiality of casting, production details, and internal matters
• Avoid online harassment or public disputes involving organisation members
If you experience or witness
inappropriate behaviour:
• Report concerns to the Creative Directors/
• Reports will be treated seriously and confidentially
• Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern is prohibited
Failure to comply with this Code
may result in:
• Informal resolution or mediation
• Formal warning
• Removal from a production
• Suspension or termination of membership
• Referral to appropriate authorities (if required)
All participants are expected to
read, understand, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct as a condition of
involvement with the organisation.
