Terms and Conditions
By enrolling with Cashmore School of Dance, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
Fee Payment
- Fees are split into even monthly payments across 11 months of the year (excluding August).
- The only payment method we accept is monthly payments (excluding August) via automatic direct debit from the payment details on your Class Manager portal.
- Invoices will be sent out prior at least one week before payment being taken.
- Fees are due in advance, and payments will be automatically taken on the 1st of each month.
- All customers must sign up to our secure online portal, to manage personal and payment details conveniently.
- Fees must be received on the due date; otherwise, dancers will not be permitted to join classes until payment is arranged.
- A £5 late payment charge is incurred for every week the invoice remains unpaid.
- If a student enrols in a class mid-way through a month, the fee for that month will be pro-rata'd and added to the following month's invoice.
- No refunds will be provided if a student is absent from class.
- If a student has a long-term illness or injury, fees may be refunded at the Principal’s discretion. This does not include minor illnesses or holidays taken mid-term.
- In the rare event of class cancellation, it will be promptly rescheduled. Notifications regarding cancellations and rescheduling details will be communicated via email.
- No refunds will be provided in cases of class cancellation due to adverse weather conditions/force majeure or if a child cannot attend due to participation in another Cashmore School of Dance performance/exam/event. We appreciate your understanding in these situations.
- One month’s written notice is required for cancellation of classes, and you will receive a final invoice of the amount due.
Uniform, classes and behaviour
- Upon enrolment, students will receive detailed uniform requirements. Any updates to the uniform guidelines or additional exam/show dancewear will be communicated via email.
- The correct class uniform and footwear is mandatory after a student’s first month of attendance.
- All students must wear their hair neatly tied back for class in a ponytail, bun or plaits. Students with short hair should wear a headband or ensure hair is gripped away from the face.
- No jewellery may be worn to classes. Jewellery items which the teacher feels may cause injury or is inappropriate for the class must be removed.
- Students must be on time to class and must be picked up on time. If for any reason parents are running late collecting the student, they will be kept inside the building but parents understand that teachers may not be able to supervise the child due to teaching other classes.
- No parent is permitted to stay within classes.
- Students and parents/guardians are expected to consistently demonstrate respectful behaviour towards teaching staff, fellow students, and the premises. Any instances of poor behaviour or use of abusive language, both in person and online, will not be tolerated and may result in the student being asked to leave the School.
- Bullying is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Any instances of bullying should be reported immediately to the Principal for prompt investigation and resolution.
- Students are not permitted to chew gum/consume food whilst in class.
- Students are responsible for their own property and bring items at their own risk. Cashmore School of Dance is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items.
- Students must be collected from the studio by a parent/guardian or responsible adult. The teacher must be informed if collection is undertaken by persons other than the child’s parent or legal guardian.
