Terms and Conditions

The following information will be beneficial to you in order to help us keep everyone on poolside safe and that you/your child get the most out of your/their swimming lessons or training.


I consent to the use of physical guidance and understand that on occasion physical guidance may be used by the relevant instructor when teaching a certain skill or stroke in line with Swim England guidelines.

I certify that all those enrolled to participate in activities with Fast Lane Swim School are physically fit and I know of no physical reason, illness or medical condition which would preclude participation in such events.

I fully understand the risks associated with participating in such activities and/or events, which can include accident, personal injury, including injuries unknown and unanticipated, or even death. Should the need arise I hereby give my consent to Fast Lane Swim School to provide medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during participation in such activity/event.

I understand that no responsibility will be accepted by Fast Lane Swim School for loss or damage to the property or valuables of the registered swimmers, even if such items are left in the lockers provided.

I understand that photography and video-photography taken by spectators is not permitted on poolside during normal lessons/training sessions, however photography and video-photography of lessons/training sessions may be taken by the Fast Lane Swim School teachers, staff or a third party that they appoint for the purpose of education, swimmer feedback and marketing and I will inform Fast Lane Swim School if I wish for those swimmers registered to me not to be filmed. 

I understand that Fast Lane Swim School do not offer refunds, except in exceptional and medical circumstances in which a valid doctor’s certificate must be provided. Credit notes will be given. All refunds are awarded at the discretion of the managing director.

I understand that Fast Lane Swim School run through school holidays within the term dates. Any exceptions to this will be communicated in advance. I understand that Fast Lane Swim Schools policy is that catch-up lessons will only be offered when lessons have had to be cancelled by Fast Lane Swim School, and not for holidays, short-term sickness or any other activities. In the event of long-term sickness or injury I will inform Fast Lane Swim School immediately and provide a valid medical certificate in order to receive a credit note or refund as appropriate. Failure to do so may result in a reduction in the value of credit note offered or a reduction in number of the catch up classes offered.

I understand that Fast Lane Swim School works on a direct debit basis, therefore I will give a months notice prior to leaving the school.

SWIMMING POOL RULES AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

The following rules and safety guidelines are in place to keep everyone safe and keep the training environment beneficial.

· Appropriate swimwear and clothing should be worn at all times, for the relevant activity, taking safety into consideration. All jewellery must be removed before engaging in any physical activity.

 

· Changing on poolside is strictly forbidden, all changing should take place in the changing rooms provided.

· Swimmer and spectators are not allowed on to the poolside until a Fast Lane staff member is present and invites you to the poolside. Swimmer must not enter the pool until permitted to do so by the teacher or coach.

· Whilst waiting, noise should be kept to a minimum so as not to interrupt other training taking place. You must wait within the vicinity of the training facility and not roam freely around the premises or use any equipment.

· No running anywhere on poolside or in the changing rooms.

· Swimmers under the age of 12 must be picked up directly from the poolside or training facility by a parent or guardian whom must be present a minimum of five minutes before the scheduled end of session. They must not leave unaccompanied. No child should be left on poolside while unsupervised.

· To ensure a cleaner pool, and a more focused lesson, swimmers must wear swimming hats. 

· If a swimmer has been sick, feels unwell or has any open wounds they should not be swimming.

· No eating 30 minutes before engaging in physical activity.

· No food or drink to be brought on to poolside – with the exception of water in a plastic sports bottle.

· No glass items are allowed on poolside.

· Spectators must stay in the designated areas and not sit on poolside.

· All facilities must be left tidy with all rubbish disposed of.

I confirm that I have read and understood the above information and will ensure that I, and any people accompanying us will abide by the rules.

I understand that Fast Lane Swim School reserves the right to deny access to its facilities if any of the members are deemed by the management of Fast Lane Swim School to have failed to comply with any guidelines/instructions or if it considers that I or anyone associated with my swimmer is unfit and/or an immediate risk to others.
