Terms and Conditions
1. Enrolment: Registration for classes is on an ongoing basis. This means once your child is enrolled, you do not have to re-enrol each term. FOUR WEEKS NOTICE IN WRITING prior to the start of a new term is required for leaving the school. This is necessary to allow for forward planning and to ensure spaces for those on waiting lists are available. If the notice is not given, half a terms fees will be due. Each term is guaranteed as 9 weeks, although most are 10 and occasionally 11, no extra charge for longer terms will be incurred. Once the term has commenced, no refunds will be given if leaving before the end of the term
2. Images: From time to time, photographs and short video’s may be taken of your child for use in promotional purposes on places such as Facebook, Instagram and the studio website. Please indicate on your enrolment form if you would NOT like any images or videos of your child to be used for marketing purposes.
3. Fees: Term fees are due by the end of the first week of term. A $20 late payment fee will apply to fees paid later than this date. Online payments should be made to:

Cash (correct amount only): must be in an envelope with pupil’s name on.
4. Cancellation: If a class needs to be cancelled by the teacher due to lockdown, isolation or illness, an online zoom class or a make-up class in the holidays will be scheduled.
5. Illness: Classes missed due to illness or other absence will not be refunded. Please notify Kirsty by email or txt message no later than 3 hours before class if your child can not attend.

6. Safeguarding Policy: Priority is given to keep all students safe by minimising risk of injury as well as ensuring no bullying, physical or psychological harm is inflicted. Any allegations or concerns should be brought to the Principal, Kirsty Farrow. It should also be noted that dance by nature carries a risk of accident and/or injury which Create Dance Studio and its teachers cannot be responsible for.
7. Students are supervised for class time only. It is the caregivers/parent’s responsibility to ensure the student is collected and not waiting outside the studio.
8. Code of Conduct: High standards of behaviour are expected of all pupils to encourage discipline and respect for others. This includes listening attentively and avoiding disturbing the learning and concentration of others, arriving on time for class, regular attendance and wearing correct uniform. Children who consistently misbehave in class may be asked to leave the group.
9. Invoices Outstanding: Any invoices overdue will be referred to debt collection services if not paid with 3 months of due date. Any additional fees incurred through the debt collection agency will be added to the outstanding invoice total and the person named on the original outstanding invoice will be responsible for the charges.
General Information:
UNIFORM
Tiny Tots
Students may wear any sort of leotard, ballet skirt/dress or tutu that is easy enough to move in. Boys can wear shorts and a t-shirt. All hair must be tied back off the face. Ballet shoes with elastics should be worn. Pink or skin tone for girls and white for boys.
Pre-Primary and Primary
Female: Pink cap-sleeved leotard with pink wrap skirt. Pink or skin tone ballet socks and full sole ballet shoes (preferably leather) attached with elastic. Hair tied back and in a bun for Primary students and older.
Male: White fitted t-shirt and black shorts. White socks and white full sole ballet shoes (preferably leather) with elastic. Long hair tied back off face.
Grade 1 and 2
Female: Lilac sleeveless leotard. Ballet socks or tights. Pink or skin tone full sole leather ballet shoes attached with elastic. Black character skirt with pastel ribbons. Black low heel character shoes. Hair in a ballet bun.
Male: White fitted t-shirt or leotard and navy shorts. White socks and white leather full sole ballet shoes fitted with elastic. Black lace-up character shoes.
Grade 3 & 4
Female: Hunter green sleeveless leotard. Ballet socks or tights. Pink or skin tone full sole leather ballet shoes attached with elastic. Black character skirt with pastel ribbons. Black cuban heel character shoes. Hair in a ballet bun.
Male: White leotard and black leggings. White socks and white or black leather full sole ballet shoes fitted with elastic. Black lace-up character shoes.
Adult
Any comfortable active clothing, preferably close fitting or leotard/skirt etc. Ballet shoes preferable.
Note: Students may wear anything comfortable to move in and bare feet for the first trial lesson.
Uniforms will be able to be purchased directly from the studio. We usually have a "Uniform Day" at the start of each term but if you need something outside of this day, please email Kirsty.
WATCHING CLASSES
Normal circumstances will have parents allowed to watch the class on the last day of term only as it can be distracting for the child having multiple adults and parents in the room. Watching for the last class of this term will be confirmed closer to the time via email.
