Terms and Conditions
General studio policies
- In order to maintain a happy and professional environment, students are taught the importance of being part of a group. Students must have respect for other students, teachers and studio property. Students who are disrespectful and pursue substandard behaviour will be asked to leave the classroom. If their behaviour continues parents will receive a phone call and students will be removed from their class. We abide by all anti-bullying and harassment clauses.
- Dancers / Parents & Guardians are expected to always behave in an appropriate manner.
It is up to the Dance Elite staff discretion to ban any Parent / Guardian acting in an inappropriate manner. If you have any issues with staff decisions please speak directly to Miss Hayley. Gossip, that often holds no truth, will not be tolerated at the studio. Negative interaction between parent’s and dancers will result in suspension. This is part of our duty of care to make sure the dance space is a healthy environment for all dancers and has a positive atmosphere.
- Prompt drop off and pick up before and after class is appreciated, as we cannot be responsible for your child when outside of class. Please keep noise level in reception to a minimum, to avoid disruptions to classes.
- All students must follow Dance Elite's uniform policy. Following obvious safety reasons, the correct dance wear allows the teacher to properly asses how well the students are implementing the technique being taught. All students must arrive with their hair neatly pulled back. A bun with pins and hairspray must be worn to all Ballet, Acro and Cirque classes with no exceptions. No watches/jewellery is to be worn into the classroom, with the exception of small studs for pierced ears. Please understand students with incorrect hair/attire may be asked to sit down and not participate in the class due to the many safety issues that can arise.
- We ask that you please respect our facilities and either clean up or ask for help from staff if an issue occurs. No food or drink in any studios, water is accepted. If your child damages any property of Dance Elite you may be asked to pay for the repairs.
