Dance Evolution Studios Online Video Disclaimer

Class work is filmed and uploaded onto Google Drive for students to practice. These are for educational purposes only. I understand they are not to be shared with anyone but the student.  

For both Drive videos and Zoom classes, please use common sense. The space in which the student will be performing these exercises must be clear of hazards. Students should be fully supervised by an adult while learning and participating.

Dancing is not without its risks, and this or any other dance tutorials and lessons may result in injury. They include but are not limited to: risk of injury, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, or adverse effect of over-exertion such as muscle strain, abnormal blood pressure, fainting, disorders of heartbeat, and very rare instances of heart attack. If at any point during a student’s online lesson they begin to feel faint, dizzy, or have physical discomfort, the student should stop immediately and consult a physician.

In consideration of participating in Zoom dance tutorials and lessons, you hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless DEVOS, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant/s and/or the undersigned in connection with the dance tutorials and lessons online.

Image and Photo Waiver 

I understand that students are filmed for our term and annual performances and photographs are taken as a record of concert groups. 

Students may also be photographed dancing at workshops or at the studio as a record of an event/ workshop/ disco by an authorised staff member. Use of this material may be used in our website or facebook. Photos taken are for studio-related audiences only and are for the studio enjoyment.  If I do not wish my child to be photographed or filmed, he or she will not participate in these events. 

 

Social Media Policy

When using ALL forms of Social Media (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter) all students and parents must adhere to this DEVOS Social Media Policy.

• Students and parents may not photograph, video or record any material in classes without the teacher’s permission.
• Where permission has been given to record a class/routine for rehearsal purposes, use of that recording has been authorised for that purpose only and under no circumstances must it be posted on any Social Media platform
• Any and all choreography for Solos, Performance Group dances, annual performances etc., taught by DEVOS staff and guest teachers, remain the property of DEVOS. Should any material be posted to Social Media (in agreement with this policy) credit must be given to DEVOS. 
• No footage of DEVOS performances is are to be shared to social media without permission from DEVOS.
• The recording and airing, sharing, posting, distribution of teachers’ routines, is a serious breach of copyright and may result in offenders being asked to withdraw from DEVOS and in some circumstances, legal action may be considered.
• Students/Parents are not authorised to contact DEVOS staff via Social Media at any time or for any reason. Should a teacher be contacted, and it is their duty to let the staff of DEVOS know so it can be monitored.

• Social Media is not to be used to communicate attendance, queries or any other administrative information. This must be done through the office staff at DEVOS.
• Bullying/harassment of any kind over social media will not be tolerated and may result in termination of students’ enrolment.
• Students and parents are not to post any content that may bring DEVOS into disrepute.
• When posting on Social Media, all credits must be given to those relative to the post.
• All posts on Social Media that are DEVOS or dance related be appropriate and tasteful. Any posts seen on social media that are deemed inappropriate or distasteful will result in the students and parents being notified and the post being taken down of all platforms.
