The studio has an expectation that the Dancers will feel safe, secure, well supported by staff and fellow dancers and enjoy their experience in the Dance 24 Seven studios. Co-operation between staff and dancers requires that the teacher and students show mutual respect, politeness, are punctual for lessons and corrections are given and received in a manner suitable for learning and improving for the student.
We will not tolerate any dancer, parent or caregiver, who participates in verbal or online/cyber bullying of any other student or staff.
Risks Related to Dance:
My participation or my child’s participation in this activity is purely voluntary, no person(s) are forcing me or my child to participate and I elect of my own volition to participate or have my child participate with full knowledge of the inherent risks involved.
PARENT RESPONSIBILITY TO SUPERVISE - When I visit the Dance 24/7 Ltd, or am involved in any related activity involving parental presence or participation, I understand and accept the responsibility, and any associated liability, of constantly supervising, controlling, and restricting activities as necessary to assure safety of the children I bring and myself.
I understand dance activities involve risk and possible injury, including but not limited to paralysis, death, emotional distress, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties.
Ongoing injuries should be under the treatment of a professional and the Dancer should obey their guidelines of when best to resume dance after treatment.
The Dress Code:
All Dancers must be in correct Dance 24 Seven uniform by their third attendance. Shoes can be purchased through retailers and guidelines are on our website. The uniform requirements for each genre and level is available on our website or in studio. Long hair must be tied up for every class. Jackets and outer garments are not to be worn through class.
Communication:
The studio uses Mailchimp and Class Manager to send regular newsletters and emails to keep parents abreast of events and changes in the studio. We will NOT be responsible for refunding Dancers who have missed events where these notifications have been sent. We are not expected to Text, message or phone individuals regarding studio events that have been posted in the Newsletters, in Group emails and on Social Media. It is the caregivers responsibility to read our communications to them.
Billing Obligations and Term fees:
Dance 24 Seven will bill the Parents/Caregivers, as given on this enrolment form, for the fees and any other dance related costs (such as exam entries and show/costuming costs). Fees are based on a 36 week Dance year and are unevenly distributed through the 4 terms. PLEASE NOTE Term fees are set at per term from enrolment if there is a disruption to classes through your childs illnesses, school camps, family holidays we do not credit or refund. Public holidays, exams day/show day disruptions, power failures etc are calculated. There is no obligation for refund of a class missed, unless specifically stated by the studio.
If a child has attended for more that 50% of the term, fees will no be refunded. Fees are expected to be paid in full by the end of each term. Fees that are outstanding will mean Dancers may not begin the next term. In the event that the fees remaining outstanding, a debt collection agency will be employed to collect the funds owing on our behalf. The client will be responsible for any costs incurred in the collection of overdue fees/monies.
Responsibility for Your Dancers Property.
We cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of uniform or clothing while the Dancers is in the studio. Any items left behind will be placed into lost property and held for the term.If there is no collection after this point, Dance 24/7 may dispose of the items as we see fit.
Understanding the Schedule:
Our timetable is available on our website, sent to your portal and in studio. Dancers and their families should take note of the term dates, class times and related studio events. All dancers should be warmed up and ready for class before the class starts. Water bottles are allowed in class and please ensure that where possible the Dancer has been to the bathroom before class. We will not be timetabling around dancers commitments to other studios or extracurricular activities, this includes winter sports in terms 2 and 3.
Attendance Policy:
We require that Dancers have regular attendance. A minimum of 80% attendance is required each term for the Dancer to be re enrolled into the next term, considered for exam participation or show work. Rolls will be taken at every class.
Dancers who are injured are encouraged to come to class, and observe the lesson. Sick dancers should stay at home.
Movitanz:
We aim to create an environment where the students will be encouraged to reach their full potential. In all classes there is an expectation of regular practice at home and that students will work towards their exams consistently. We have online resources available to assist all dancers with practice.Movitanz is an online dance education site. Our teachers can upload exercises and work to be practiced at home. It is a safe internet site and suitable for children to use, they cannot access other social media sites from this. The cost of accessing Movitanz is built into your fees.
