Terms and Conditions

DanceUp Performing Arts Studio Terms and Conditions1. Enrollment and Participation

By enrolling in classes at DanceUp Performing Arts Studio, participants agree to follow all studio policies, including those outlined in this document. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children adhere to the studio guidelines.

2. Cancellation Policy
  • Class Cancellations: DanceUp Performing Arts Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a class cancellation, the studio will notify participants via email or phone.
  • Student Cancellations: Participants must provide written notice at least 14 days prior to the start of a new session to cancel enrollment. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within this period. In cases of medical emergencies, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the studio with appropriate documentation.
3. No Refund Policy

DanceUp Performing Arts Studio maintains a strict no refund policy. Once a payment has been made for any session, class, or program, it is non-refundable. This includes missed classes, voluntary withdrawal, or dismissal from the program for failing to adhere to studio policies.

In case of long-term illness or injury, credit for future classes may be issued upon submission of a doctor’s note, at the sole discretion of the studio management.

4. Late Payment Policy
  • Tuition is due by the first class of each month/session.
  • Late Fee: A $5 fee will be charged for each day tuition is late until payment is received. After 7 days, the student may be suspended from attending classes until the balance is paid in full.
  • Payment Decline Fee: If a payment method is declined, a $25 fee will be charged. This includes returned checks, credit card payment failures, or any other unsuccessful payment attempt.
5. Make-Up Classes

Students are encouraged to attend make-up classes for any missed sessions during the current session period, based on availability. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance with the studio administration and are subject to instructor approval.

6. Proper Attire Policy
  • All students must wear appropriate dance attire for their specific class. This includes:
    • Ballet: Leotards, tights, ballet slippers, and hair pulled back in a bun.
    • Jazz/Contemporary: Fitted dancewear (leotard, leggings), jazz shoes or barefoot.
    • Hip-Hop: Comfortable athletic wear and clean, non-marking sneakers.
    • Tap: Fitted dancewear with tap shoes.
  • No jewelry (except small stud earrings) or accessories should be worn during class for safety reasons.
  • Students who do not adhere to the dress code may be asked to sit out of the class until proper attire is worn.
7. Liability Waiver

Participation in dance classes carries inherent risks. DanceUp Performing Arts Studio is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, performances, or any studio-related activities. By enrolling in classes, participants and/or their guardians agree to assume all risks associated with dance training.

8. Photo and Video Release

DanceUp Performing Arts Studio reserves the right to photograph and videotape classes, performances, and studio events for promotional and educational purposes. By enrolling in the studio, participants agree to the use of their image in promotional materials, including but not limited to the studio’s website and social media channels.

9. Studio Etiquette
  • Students are expected to arrive on time for all classes and rehearsals.
  • Respectful behavior toward instructors, fellow students, and studio property is mandatory. Disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the class.
10. Communication

It is the responsibility of participants and their guardians to stay informed about class schedules, events, and any updates by regularly checking email communications from DanceUp Performing Arts Studio.

By enrolling at DanceUp Performing Arts Studio, participants agree to all the above terms and conditions, including the late payment and payment decline fee policies.
