FEES POLICY
Term fees are to be paid prior to the commencement of each term in full, unless a payment plan has been discussed and set-up to secure a place in classes.
Contact is to be made with [email protected] if an invoice is not received before the start of the term.
Please be sure to login to the Class Manager Portal to check your account balance too.
Any invoices not paid prior to the commencement of each term by the due date on the invoice will be re-issued and occur a $15.00 late payment fee.
No fees will be refunded if a student leaves the class after the third week of term or third week of dance if starting part way through a term.
Written notice must be given before the end of week three if not continuing for the term for a refund or credit of remaining classes to be given.
If withdrawing due to illness or a serious injury, a medical certificate must be provided for a refund or credit of fees.
Term fees are calculated as a block fee, not based on a weekly, casual or per class fee. Adult classes are the only class with a casual payment option.
Classes missed due to absence i.e illness, holidays, birthdays, school events etc will not be refunded or credited. Students may attend any age appropriate class from the timetable to make up for missed classes.
A change of class throughout the term will not incur any additional fees, unless there is a variance in price.
If a class is cancelled and a suitable cover teacher is unable to be found, a make up class will be offered or students may select another age appropriate class from the timetable to attend instead.
The make up class will be scheduled at the studio's convenience and if you are unable to attend the class, no refunds or credits will be given.
CLASSES & WAITING LISTS
All classes have a maximum capacity. Enrolment into a class will come on a first come, first served basis at the beginning of each year.
Students enrolled in classes in Term 4 from the previous year will have two days of priority enrolment before new or inactive students.
If the maximum number of students is reached for a class, then a waiting list will occur for new enrolments. You will be notified as soon as a space becomes available for your child.
Class enrolments will automatically roll over each term throughout the year unless informed otherwise.
UNIFORM POLICY
Uniform is compulsory for all classes (except Mummy & Me Ballet, Adult classes and Troupe), and must be worn by the third class of the term.
The correct uniform must be worn for each genre, along with hair styled neatly off the face and in a bun for ballet classes.
If a student continues to attend class without the required uniform, they will be given 2 warnings with parents contacted before they are denied entry to the class.
We ask that you are respectful of our uniform policy as it is in place so students can get the most out of their dance lessons.
COVID-19 POLICY
We will continue to operate under the Covid-19 Protection Framework adhering to government regulations and guidelines.
Compulsory Vaccination Certificates are no longer required.
If face to face classes are not able to be offered due to Covid-19 lockdowns, classes will be offered online via Zoom.
There will be no refunds or credits for online classes as they are still being offered, not cancelled.
Zoom classes will only be offered if we are in a lock down, not if students have to isolate due to contracting Covid 19.
If a teacher is required to self-isolate due to Covid-19 and a suitable cover teacher is unable to be found, students may make up the class from any age appropriate class on the timetable.
Please ensure you have read the RAD and APDA Covid 19 refund policies if entering any examinations, assessments or class awards.
PHOTOGRAGHY, VIDEO & SOCIAL MEDIA

We ask that you do not video or photograph any other students other than your own in classes during watching weeks.
HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY & PROCEDURES
Devonport School of Dance is not liable and holds no responsibility for injuries sustained and any loss of or damage to personal items whilst on the premises.
Devonport School of Dance is registered to comply with all Health and Safety/Fire regulation and endeavours to provide a safe practice environment to reduce the risk of any injury.
For safety reasons, it is encouraged that all students be collected from inside the buildings. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that their child does not wait outside studio grounds after their classes.
Teachers are unable to supervise students before or after classes in waiting rooms so we do ask that parents/caregivers remain with students in waiting rooms until their class has entered the studio and are prompt to pick their child up.
For safety reasons, it is appreciated if you contact [email protected] to let us know if your child is unable to attend class for any reason as teachers do expect them otherwise.
Students, parents, caregivers and siblings are to respect the waiting area, studio and venues hired by Devonport School of Dance and leave them in a clean and respectable state.
