Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are designed to ensure high expectations of the studio are upheld. All parents and students are to carefully read these terms and conditions. By enrolling your child/ren, you hereby agree to and will adhere to these terms and conditions throughout your enrolment with Edge Dance Studio Whitsunday. If these terms and conditions are not upheld, your enrolment may be cancelled.

At EDGE, we believe dance should be fun, safe and supportive. To achieve this, it is an expectation that students and parents behave in a polite, respectful, responsible and safe manner and give 100% effort at all times.
Each student must pay a non-refundable annual membership fee of $30 upon enrolment.
All fees (billed in term blocks) are due at the end of Week 2 and are payable via cash, bank transfer or credit card (fees apply).
A 5% discount will apply to families taking 5+ lessons per week if paid by Week 2 of term.
$30 late fee applies if NO payment or pre-arranged payment plan is made by Week 4 of each term.
Students may be asked to sit out of class if fees are unpaid.
Fees are non-refundable for missed classes or students who pull out of a class mid-term.
Class ages are a guide only. Class placement is at the discretion of EDGE staff. Students may be moved into another class that is most suitable for his/her ability.
Studio uniform is to be worn at all times for Prep-Senior students.
Ready, Set, Dance uniform is to be worn to all Ready, Set, Dance class.
Students must be neatly dressed and hair must always be neat and pulled back off the face.
Ballet students are required to have hair in a bun for all ballet classes.
When going out in public (to shops) in studio uniform, shoes must be worn and behaviour must reflect the high expectations of the studio.
No jewellery or watches are to be worn to class. Small earrings are permitted.
Enrolment at another dance studio is not permitted (unless prior arrangements have been made with EDGE staff).
Please inform your teacher prior to lessons if your child is unable to attend class.
Students completing exams are to miss no more than 2 lessons per term. (unless in extenuating circumstances) Students who choose to complete exams will be required to commit to additional weekly home practice and holiday/weekend classes.
All students entering Ballet (Grade 3 and above), Acro & Jazz exams (Intermediate and above) are required to enrol in the stretch and strength class.
End of year concert is optional, but highly encouraged. Rehearsals and additional home practice is COMPULSORY for ALL STUDENTS participating in concert. (Please inform your teacher AT THE END OF TERM 1 if you do not want to participate in the concert.)
Chewing gum is NOT permitted in or around the studio.
The dressing room and outside area is to be used for EDGE dance families only.
Please be respectful at all times by ensuring noise (by parents, students and siblings) is kept to a minimum.
Put all rubbish in the bins.
Water bottles permitted in the studio. All other food/drinks are to be stored neatly in the dressing room or fridge.
Food must be consumed outside the studio.
Please respect ‘class time’ by communicating via Messenger or text for non-urgent matters.
Students need to arrive 10 minutes prior to commencement of their lesson.
Please ensure your child/ren are collected promptly after class.
Any unsportsmanlike behaviour (in person or via social media) by parents or students may result in cancellation of enrolment.
Phones are to be kept in bags at all time during class.
Posting videos/images on social media in EDGE uniform is strictly prohibited unless prior consent from your teacher has been given.
Parents are responsible for ensuring you are added to the messenger group chat for each of your child’s dance.
Photos and Video of EDGE Dance Whitsunday concert, class activities and special achievements can be upload to our website and social media pages.
EDGE Dance Studio Whitsunday reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as required.
