EM Dance Coaching

Terms and Conditions

Contracts/Payments

·       All payments are received using Class Manager, through the online portal.

·       We operate on a rolling contract, of 12 equal monthly payments. Weekly academy prices are multiplied by the 39 school weeks per year and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.

·       Payments are taken on the 1st of every month for the coming month.

·       If you get a new card, please update your details asap.

·       No refunds will be made for classes missed, regardless of reason.

·       If payment is not received, your child will be unable to participate in the class until we have received the fees.

·       If payment isn’t made by the end of the month, your contract will be cancelled.

·       Should a refund ever be issued (due to EMDC cancelling a class/workshop), this refund will issued in the form of credit on your account.

Cancellations

·      EMDC contracts are rolling, year on year contracts, not monthly or termly.

·      One full calendar months’ notice is required to cancel any academy contract.

·      To cancel a contract, please email [email protected] with your child’s name, the academy you wish to cancel, and your reason for cancelling.

·      Your notice period starts from the receipt date of the cancellation email.

·      Your final full payment is taken on the first of the month, following cancellation submission.

ie. If you submit your cancellation on 6th of May, your final payment is 1st June.

·      We are unable to close a contract without a cancellation email, or the final payment.

·      You can, of course, attend classes until your notice period is up.

Private Lessons

·      Private lessons can be booked through Class Manager, at any available slots.

·      Payment is required up front, at the time of booking the private lesson.

·      You can reschedule a private lesson up to 24hrs before the lesson, by emailing [email protected]

·      If you cancel the lesson less than 24hrs before, no refund will be applied.

Student Conduct

·      Dancers are expected to arrive to classes on time. Late arrivals will be required to do their own warmup before joining in with the class. This is to prevent injury.

·      Dancers are expected to show high levels of professionalism, and good behaviour at all times. Dance is a discipline, and therefore we expect our dancers to have loads of fun, but to also show respect to their teachers and fellow dancers.

·      Dancers will be expected to wear the correct uniform to all classes, and to be neat and clean.

·      Hair needs to be slick and off the face. Dancers will not be permitted to take part in classes if their hair is not up and out of the face.

·      Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated, and if a dancer is causing disruption to the class, they will be asked to sit out and a parent will be notified.

Safeguarding

·      All teachers hold formal dance teaching qualifications and are professionally trained dancers themselves.

·      All teachers are DBS checked, have completed safeguarding training, are first aid trained and are aware of the Safeguarding Policy and Health and Safety Policy.

·      Due to the nature of teaching, physical contact may be necessary when a teacher is helping a student correct a position, when demonstrating, or supporting a skill. This will always be done with the highest care and professionalism, with your dancers’ best interest at heart.

·      EMDC do not accept liability for loss, damage or injury whilst dancers are on the premise.

·      EMDC is only responsible for dancers whilst they are in their classes. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside their classes; this is a parent/guardian’s responsibility.

·      EMDC holds Public Liability Insurance.

Photography & Film

·      EMDC may occasionally photograph and film classes for advertising and publicity material. By joining EMDC, the parent/guardian grants permission for the display, distribution, publication, transmission or otherwise of any photo/video footage taken of their child for use of material that includes but is not limited to print, digital images, and social media. Should you wish to retract permission for the above, please email [email protected]

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

·      In signing your child up for classes, you constitute an agreement between yourselves and EMDC, agreeing to our terms and conditions. Enrolment into and attendance to our classes is deemed to be acceptance of the current terms and conditions.

·      It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure we have the correct details for you and your child and to keep us updated with any changes, including that of contact information and medical information.

·      EMDC must be informed of any injury or illness that may impact the dancer’s participation in classes.

·      It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to regularly check emails and social media in order to be up to date of any upcoming events/changes.

·      The student and their guardian are solely responsible for their personal belongings and property whilst on the premises.

In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within the school.
