Embody Dance is a community dance company. We provide dance classes for all ages and abilities across the Midlands region. Embody Dance is committed to protecting your privacy and security. This Privacy Statement applies to the use and processing of personal information collected and used by Embody Dance, in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and The General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). 
By using the Embody Dance website, mobile applications or otherwise providing your personal information to Embody Dance, you agree to the collection, use and sharing of your information in accordance with this statement.

We collect information directly from you when you instruct us, place an order directly with us, create an account on our websites, call or email us, book a class or otherwise provide information directly to us. The following are examples of information we may collect directly from you: 
personal details – Name, Email address, Postal address, Telephone number; Emergency Contacts 
demographic information; 
medical information for when partaking in classes; 
financial information (such as a credit card) and bank account details and/or 
Photos and videos for use on the Embody website, social media and retail of the Embody Show DVD

Information Embody Dance collects from other sources 
We may obtain information about you from other sources, including publicly available sources, social media platforms or referral agents such as email, text or phone calls from existing customers etc.  Examples of information we may collect from other sources are: 
personal details – Name, Email address, Postal address, Telephone number; 
demographic information and/or 
publicly observed activities or information made available by you to the public, such as blogs, videos, internet postings, and user generated content. 
How Embody Dance uses this information 
The information we collect may be used to provide you with products, offers and services, to deliver to you advertisements, offers or other content tailored to your interests, and to conduct other Embody Dance business operations.  We may use the information we collect to: 
answer questions or respond to your requests; 
to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts or agreements entered into by you and Embody Dance; 
develop new products and services; 
create and manage your account; 
protect against or identify possible fraudulent transactions; 
send you email and/or postal messages with information about Embody Dance brands and other content we think may be of interest to you; 
telephone you about our brands and other content we think may be of interest to you; 
provide Marketing tailored to your interests, including interest-based marketing;

enforce our Terms and Conditions and otherwise manage our business.

We will never sell your personal information to marketers outside of Embody Dance.  We may contact you with information about our partners, or third-party products and services, but these communications will come from ourselves and will usually be incorporated in our own marketing materials. 
Third-party service providers 
We engage third-party service providers to perform a variety of business operations on our behalf.  In so doing, we may share your personal information with them. We provide our service providers with only the personal information they need in order to perform the services we request, and we contractually require that they protect this information appropriately and not use it for any other purpose. 
For example, we may rely on a third-party service provider to: 
carry out your service requests and answer your questions; 
host our sites and deliver our email or other communications; 
analyse our data, sometimes combined with data from other sources, to send you communications; 
carry out research and analyse data to improve our products, services and sites and/or

We will only use and store information for as long as it is required for the purposes it was collected for.  We will retain Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Statement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Email Communications 
We will send you necessary emails to fulfil our legitimate business needs for example, notice of class changes, Embody show details, invoices. 
You can stop receiving promotional email messages from Embody Dance by following the opt-out instructions provided in any such message you receive. 
Postal Mail 
Necessary mail to fulfil our legitimate business needs for example, sending invoices. 
PLEASE NOTE: We will honour your request to stop receiving promotional email and postal messages from Embody Dance as practicable.  However, we may continue to send you service-related communications. We may keep information for record keeping ensuring we fulfil your request not to send particular types of messages. 
You and your information 
To the extent provided for by applicable law, you have certain rights in respect of the management of the personal data we hold about you. 
How we protect your information 
Embody Dance makes sure that all personal data is well looked after, and we always take reasonable steps to ensure that all data is treated securely and in accordance with all relevant laws. The information you provide to us will usually be stored and processed on servers based within the United Kingdom, but you agree that we may store the data on carefully selected portable devices, in paper files, and to transfer data abroad. It may be processed by staff operating outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We do our best to ensure that your personal data is kept securely. 
Once we have received your personal data we will use all our powers and security features to try and prevent any unauthorised access. Therefore, we have to say that whilst we will do our utmost best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee the security of any transmitted data to our site and therefore any transmission is at your own risk.

Embody Dance sites may include links to third-party sites. Embody Dance does not control these third-party sites, and we encourage you to read the privacy statement of every site you visit. 
Social Networks and Third-Party Plug-ins 
Our websites may include plugins from social networks or other third parties. An example of a plugin is the Facebook “Like” button. Where legally permitted, these plugins may communicate with and send information to the party that provided the plugin, even if you do not click on the plugin. This information may include your IP address, information about your browser and device, and the address of the web page you are visiting on our site. Please remember that any information you submit or post as user-generated content to Social Media sites become public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal, financial or other information in such submissions or posts. Embody Dance cannot prevent others from using such information in a manner that may violate this Privacy Statement, the law, or your personal privacy and safety. Embody Dance is not responsible for the results of such postings. 
Information Security 
Embody Dance is committed to keeping personal information secure. We have implemented technical, administrative and physical procedures designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse or alteration. 
We limit access to personal information to those who have a business need. We keep personal information only for so long as deemed reasonably necessary. 
Children’s privacy 
Our Sites are not directed to children under the age of thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen on our Sites. 
Links to other websites and apps 
Our Sites may provide links to other websites and apps for your convenience and information. These websites and apps may operate independently from us. Linked sites and apps may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review.
