Please find below our full terms and conditions. 

 

By completing and signing the online portal registration form to enrol your child with Embody Dance, you are hereby agreeing to the terms and conditions detailed below.


Any dancer currently enrolled with Embody Dance who has not signed our online registration form is also bound to these terms and conditions by their continuation to attend classes.

 

EMBODY DANCE is not liable for any injury related to dance if classes are taken at another establishment. 


1) Payment
a) After an initial one-off payment for a trial class all payments to Embody Dance are made monthly by Direct Debit through Go Cardless. 
b) Embody Dance requires 1 months’ notice of class cancellation. 
c) Embody Dance reserves the right to suspend your dancer’s classes until any overdue payments have been received.
d) In the event of a pupil leaving EMBODY DANCE with fees still outstanding, EMBODY DANCE reserves the right to pursue recovery of the debt by all legal means including court action.


2) Cancellation of Classes by Embody Dance 
a) Occasionally it is necessary to temporarily change the venue of a class, postpone it to a later date. Where this occurs EMBODY DANCE will try to notify parents either by email, Facebook page, text, phone or word of mouth. 
b) If Embody cannot meet in a venue due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, burst water pipes, building repairs etc, a decision will be made as early as possible to cancel the physical class. Should this occur, we will endeavor to give you as much notice as possible via email, the Facebook page, text or phone/word of mouth. In this situation classes will not be refunded.

 

3) Miscellaneous
a) Duty of care, safety, and conduct. All teachers are qualified, DBS checked and insured. 
b) Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be announced on the Online Class Portal. 


4) Embody Dance Liabilities 
a) EMBODY DANCE does not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising from errors or omissions on the online registration form whether completed by you or the person in charge of your child at the time of enrolment.
b) EMBODY DANCE does not accept liability for personal injury to any dancer attending class, with the exception of such injury being caused by negligence or default of any member of our team, contract teachers or any other default on our part.
c) EMBODY DANCE does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
d) EMBODY DANCE does not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control.
e) EMBODY DANCE is only responsible for dancers while they are in their class. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside class FOR EXAMPLE IN A WAITING ROOM. Young children must be collected promptly at the end of their class.
f) EMBODY DANCE holds Public Liability Insurance.


5) Teachers
a) Embody Dance engages industry-based professionals to instruct classes.  At times scheduled teachers may not be available and as such an alternative teacher of equal or greater qualification will replace the scheduled teacher.  Due to the nature of the entertainment industry and the high standard of teachers contracted at Embody Dance, teachers may rotate and change at the discretion of Emma Bright.


6) Responsibilities of a parent or guardian  
a) These terms and conditions, and online enrolment forms you have filled out and/or signed, constitute an agreement between you and us in connection to classes or any services superseding any prior agreement.
Embody does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after dance classes.
The student and their guardian release Embody Dance, their teachers, instructors, agents and directors from any responsibility in any way for loss or dance of its personal belongings or property.
The student and their guardian are solely responsible for their personal belongings and property whilst left of the premises.
The student and their guardian shall make no claim adversely impacting, causing hardship or undue stress on Embody Dance as a result of their actions.
b) Attendance at class is deemed to be acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.
c) It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to notify EMBODY DANCE of any illness or injury that may affect the child’s participation at class.
d) It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that EMBODY DANCE has the correct details for you and your child and keep us updated of any changes to health.
e) It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to regularly read their emails/website/Facebook for information in order to be fully aware of all upcoming events.
f) In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms & conditions or that your child is disruptive to other dancers or teachers or venue staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within Embody Dance.
h) EMBODY DANCE hires many venues for classes; therefore, all EMBODY DANCE teachers, parents and pupils must be respectful to our neighbours and arrive & leave responsibly.
i) Photographs and video footage of pupils taken by EMBODY DANCE may be used on our website/Facebook page and for publicity and marketing purposes. By enrolling your child in Embody Dance you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken and used for this purpose.
If you do not wish your child’s image to be used for these purposes, you must tick ‘No’ when asked for photo permission on the online portal consent form.  
j) It is the responsibility of the Parent or Guardian to ensure that their dancer/s adhere to updated Government and Embody Dance guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
