Athlete Code of Conduct 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance reserves the right to remove or dismiss an athlete from a class or the studio for breaches of the rules and expected code of conduct.  

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance reserves the right to position your child in the best interests of your child, others and the team, and the athlete will accept this decision as final until told otherwise. This applies to class/team placements, team roles, stage positioning, choreography, and all coaching, training and creative aspects of all classes, programs and routines. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to work to the best of their ability in all classes and be dedicated to their team and display a positive and supportive attitude. 

 

  1. Absences must be communicated to Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff with as much notice as possible. The best avenue for advising of absences is through the BAND App. 

 

  1. Athletes must be respectful and courteous to all fellow athletes, parents and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance Coaching staff. Gossiping about, or bullying any other studio’s teams, an athlete/child or another FCCD team, coaches, parents and staff will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances. This includes any negative behaviour over the internet and social media, and at events/competitions.Offensive, inappropriate or negative comments will also not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave the premises or event. In the case of serious/repeat breaches of this, instant dismissal may be initiated and no refunds will be given. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to represent themselves and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance in a positive manner. This is relevant in person, as well as on social media. Athletes will not comment or post any written or multimedia (photos/videos) item on the internet that may be considered offensive, negative or inappropriate. 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance music, choreography, routines, stunts, etc. are the intellectual property of the company. Athletes (and parents/guardians) are to refrain from distributing any of the mentioned verbally, or via the internet. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. without the direct permission of coaching staff. 

 

  1. Athletes will demonstrate good sportsmanship in all classes, and at all competitions, performances or other events where they are representing Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance. 

 

  1. It is expected that training, especially for competitive athletes, takes priority over all other social occasions and activities. Accommodations will be made where possible, and where advanced notice is provided in writing. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to wear their uniform with pride and present themselves in a manner which is a positive representation of themselves and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to be on time for all classes, training, competitions, and events. 

 

  1. Athletes will always abide by all rules and Code of Conduct. 

 

                          Parent Code of Conduct 

 

 

  1. Parents and guardians are kindly asked not to remain in the gym area during classes as this distracts the athletes and disrupts classes. Furthermore, some athletes struggle to perform at their best when watched by other parents and siblings, which can increase the risk of mistakes and potentially lead to injury for themselves and/or others. 

 

  1. If a parent or guardian wishes to talk to a staff member, we ask that they kindly attend prior to, or wait until the completion of the class to do so. This includes to make payments or purchases. You may also send any enquiries to [email protected] 

 

  1. Parents must be respectful and courteous to all athletes, parents and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff. Gossiping about or bullying your child, someone else’s child, a team, coaches, other parents and staff will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.   1. Due to child safety and protection of our athletes, parents/guardians are asked to refrain from taking photographs and/or videos of athletes during classes. Some athletes have not consented to our Media Release policy. If you do take and/or distribute photographs/videos of athletes without this consent during classes, you are in direct breach of this consent and could face penalties because of this.  

 

  1. Parents will demonstrate good sportsmanship in all classes, and at all competitions, performances and other FCCD events. 

 

  1. It is expected that training, especially for competitive athletes, takes priority over all other social occasions and activities. Parents are expected to encourage their child to achieve their best at training and to prioritise the sport, their training and their team, in part with their schooling commitments. 

 

  1. Parents will always abide by all rules and Code of Conduct. 

 

  1. Parents are expected to facilitate their child in being on time for all classes, training, competitions and performances. 

 

  1. Parents are not to interfere with classes, training, coaching, or any aspect that relates to the activities conducted at Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance.  

 

 

 

         Fees/Charges, Payment and Refund Policy 

 

 

  1. ALL fees are agreeable and payable as per the interval and amount determined at the time of enrolment.  

 

  1. Term fees are based on a years worth of classes and take into account public holidays, potential class cancellations and additional training. 

 

  1. All invoices must be either paid in full or have a payment arrangement in place before training commences. 

 

  1. ALL fees must be paid irrespective of attendance, no exceptions. If an athlete is away for any reason (including if they are unable to participate), the fees for the missed class/es still apply. Missed classes will only be made up/reimbursed if absence exceeds 2 full weeks and is accompanied by a medical certificate. Make-up classes will only be facilitated if there is another available within the same term as the class missed, and if a medical certificate is provided. Other absences that do not relate to illness or injury will not be made up, nor refunded.Classes still run on Public Holidays and if you chose not to attend these classes, that is at your own discretion and no refunds will be given.

  1. Written notice of intention to change or discontinue classes is required with a minimum of four weeks notice. Please note that changes or cancellations will ONLY be accepted in writing via email, and four weeks of fees will be applicable from the week this is notified. Notification of intention to discontinue or change classes will be assessed upon receiving the written notice. As per our financial policies, signing this obligates you to a full years worth of training and fees payable if a decision to discontinue classes is made after term 2. Therefore, you may still be liable to continue paying a years worth of fees, subject to the assessment once notification has been given. Any costume/uniform or competition fees paid or owing still apply and will not be reimbursed, refunded or voided. 

 

  1. Payment arrangements will be set up through the Pay Advantage system by week 3 of term. 

 

  1. In special circumstances, you may be able to direct deposit regular payments. If you are direct depositing, a payment agreement must be signed and payments must be made regularly as per the payment agreement. Weekly payments are calculated at 40 continuous weeks of payments. Alternate arrangements may be made upon discussion with FCCD staff. 

 

  1. All Uniform payments must be paid in full by the end of May. You will not be able to collect your uniform until full payment is finalised.No refunds will be issued for Uniform or Competition fees once orders have been placed/booked. 

 

  1. All Competition fees must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to each competition date, or a payment plan set up through the Pay Advantage system. A deposit of $200 per athlete is required to be paid at the start of Term 2. 

 

  1. Any additional holiday, casual or private lessons you choose to participate in will be invoiced and/or charged separately. 

 

  1. As per our financial policy, you must decide by the start of Term 2 if you are going to continue as a competitive athlete and commit to a full years worth of training, competitions etc. If you choose to discontinue as a competitive athlete after this date, you will/may be liable to continue ALL fee payments as per point f) above.

  1. Competitive athletes, in both Cheerleading and Dance, are not allowed to compete with any other facility/studio/gym/club, especially where that establishment is attending the same competition or is a direct competitor. The only exception to this is school groups. 

 

  1. ALL athletes, including their family and friends, will demonstrate good sportsmanship in all classes, and at all competitions, performances or other events where they are representing Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to wear their uniform with pride and present themselves in a manner which is a positive representation of themselves and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to represent themselves and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance in a positive manner. Athletes must be respectful and courteous to all fellow athletes, parents and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff. This includes any negative/offensive/inappropriate behaviour/comments/shares/posts/in person or overheard conversations or over the internet and social media, and at events/competitions. Offensive, inappropriate or negative comments will also not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave the premises or event. In the case of serious/repeat breaches of this, instant dismissal may be initiated and no refunds will be given. 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance coaches reserve the right to position your child in the best interests of your child, others and the team, and the athlete will accept this decision as final until told otherwise.   1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance reserves the right to hold additional training, specifically prior to competitions and performances. Any additional classes or training will be advised with as much notice as possible and will be deemedcompulsory for those applicable. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to be on time for all classes, training, competitions, and events. 

 

  1. It is expected that training takes priority over all other social occasions and activities. Accommodations will be made where possible, and where advanced notice is provided in writing. 

 

  1. ALL competitive Cheerleading athletesMUST attend all scheduled competitive classes for their level and age division. Joining our Competitive All Star teams requires a full years commitment, including multiple squads if joined. 

 

  1. ALL competitive Dance athletesMUST attend all scheduled competitive classes for their level, age division and dance genre. Joining our Competitive All Star teams requires a full years commitment, including multiple squads if joined. 

 

  1. Athletes are expected to work to the best of their ability in all classes and be dedicated to their team and display a positive and supportive attitude. 

 

  1. ALL competitive athletesMUST NOT be absent within two weeks of a competition or performance. 

 

  1. It is COMPULSORY for ALL competitive athletes to attend ALL competitions and performances, be it locally and/or interstate or overseas if you sign up for our international teams. 

 

  1. All competitions, their location and times, will be communicated with as much notice as possible in writing via BAND App. 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Absences must be communicated to Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff with as much notice as possible. The best avenue for advising of absences is through the BAND App 

 

  1. ALL additional costs associated with competitions and performances, including uniforms, costumes, entry fees, travel and accommodation, and other related expenses are the responsibility of the athlete/parent/guardian. Payment notices and deadlines will be issued as required for       additional costs with as much notice as possible. 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance music, choreography, routines, stunts, etc. are the intellectual property of the company. Athletes (and parents/guardians) are to refrain from distributing any of the mentioned verbally, or via the internet. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc. without the direct permission of coaching staff. 

 

  1. Athletes agree to always abide by all Rules/Terms & Conditions and Code of Conduct. Failure to do so could end in dismissal with them/their parent/guardian still being liable for any outstanding amounts on their account regardless of any outcome from investigations of a breach of any of these terms and conditions. 

 

 

 

 

 

                 General Rules and Conditions 

 

 

  1. No responsibility will be taken for lost or stolen items at the studio. Please do not bring any unnecessary valuables into the studio. 

 

  1. Athletes are not to take mobile phones into class. They are to be left in the athlete pockets during class times. 

 

  1. If eating/drinking in the athlete area, athletes are to be responsible for their mess, and dispose of their own rubbish in the bins provided. 

 

  1. Athletes must be ready to enter their classes on time. Please ensure athletes arrive NO EARLIER OR LATER THAN 10mins before their scheduled class. Arrival in excess of 10mins will refer to the below point d). 

 

  1. Due care will be taken with all athletes; however, Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance takes no responsibility for athletes whilst they are not in class or under direct coach supervision at competitions and performances.  

 

  1. Once athletes arrive and enter the studio and sign in with staff, they are NOT to leave the premises for safety reasons. If an athlete is not present after signing in, a phone call will be made to Emergency Contact/s. 

 

  1. Absences must be communicated to Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff with as much notice as possible. The best avenue for advising of absences is through the BAND App. 

 

  1. Siblings of athletes who are not attending classes are not to be left unattended at any time for any reason. 

 

  1. Athletes are not to play or gather outside of the Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance studio. This is for their own safety as this area is a public thoroughfare. Please take care when driving in the carpark as it gets very busy, and adhere to the advised parking areas/limits (if applicable). 

 

  1. Allathletes are to be picked up promptly upon the completion of their class, especially for those attending the last class of each day. 

 

  1. Photographs and videos will be taken of athletes during classes and at competitions. This material may be used for coaching, marketing, promotional and advertising purposes. Please ensure you identify your consent for use of these under the Media Release form at time of enrolment.  

 

  1. PLEASE NOTE: Recordings of routines during practice are exempt from our media consent.These recordings are solely for the use of coaches/staff, athletes and their families only to practice outside of class times and provide feedback. 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer and Dance reserves the right to add or remove classes from the current timetable. This will only be done upon the commencement of a term, or if absolutely necessaryduring term and through written notice. 

 

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer and Dance reserves the right to alter prices for both fees and apparel as necessary. This will be avoided where possible, and will generally take place upon the commencement of a term and through writing. 

 

  1. Allathletes are encouraged to wear Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance training apparel to classes and be well-groomed (hair tied back and neat), with NO jewellery and manicured nails, with the correct footwear/shoes. This is all requested for safety and hygiene reasons. 

 

  1. Any person entering the property adheres to PCYC and Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance Terms & Conditions, and will not hold either party responsible for any harm, injury, illness or loss whilst they are present on the grounds and surrounding areas. 

 

 

 

 

  1. Upon completion of 2025 registration, it is agreed that the athlete and/or parent/guardian understand the requirements and commitments of the terms and conditions, and agree to abide by these, including the training and financial commitments. 

 

  1. If your details change, the athlete and/or parent/guardian is tonotify Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance at their earliest convenience. 

 

  1. Athletes and/or their parent/guardian fully understand the risks associated with participating in all aspects of cheerleading and dance at Fraser Coast Cheer and Dance, including but not limited to the possibility of physical illness or injury (minimal, serious, and catastrophic), emotional or psychological distress. 

 

  1. Theyalso understand and agree that all expenses relating to any such treatment arising from injury, distress, illness, required medical attention, surgery etc are their sole responsibility and will not hold Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance liable. 

 

  1. I/we further acknowledge and understand and agree that by participating in Fraser Coast Cheer and Dance programs there is a possibility of physical illness or injury (minimal, serious, and catastrophic) and that I/my son/daughter is assuming the risk of such injury by participating 

 

  1. If First Aid treatment, or the contact of an ambulance in an emergency situationis required/necessary, Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff will follow given direction(as per section 8 in the registration form) of the athlete and/or parent/guardian. 

 

  1. In the event of an emergency, Fraser Coast Cheer & Dance staff will attempt to contact an athleteslisted emergency contact (1 then 2 if applicable) as soon as possible, and when safe to do so. 

  

  1. Fraser Coast Cheer and Dance reserves the right to change, alter, add or amend the rules at any time. Notice of any changes will be made with as much notice as possible and in writing.
