Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

 

Enrolment 

 

Class fees must be paid in full when you enrol. No part payments will be accepted unless by prior special arrangement  

 

Fresh Funk:  

Students in the performance program are required to enrol in the same class for the entire Semester (Term 1 & 2 or Term 3 & 4) to continue working towards the end-of-semester performance outcome.    

 

Art Classes: 

Majority of art supplies are included in the tuition fee.  

 

Student conduct 

 

Tuggeranong Arts Centre is a shared space and we expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork and property. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated.  

Students must follow the Tutor’s instructions and safety guidelines at all times 

 

The Tutor reserves the right to dismiss any student from the class who does not follow the rules or who possess a safety risk to themselves or others. 

 

Workplace Health and Safety 

 

Tuggeranong Arts Centre does not accept responsibility for any personal property left at the Centre; nor does it accept liability for any personal injury, unless such an injury is caused through negligence on the part of a Tuggeranong Arts Centre employee.  

 

If you or your child has been too unwell to attend work or school, you should not attend class. We appreciate this courtesy to avoid the spread of illness to other students and staff. 

 

Enrolment forms must be completed with emergency contact details. Please include information If you or your child have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class 

 

Marketing Material 

 

Photography or video recording of the class is not permitted by participants. 

 

TAC may photographs/records during classes, or performances. These images are used for TAC’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. As a Condition of Enrolment your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos/images of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing. 
 

 

Privacy 

 

Contact information you supply to Tuggeranong Arts Centre will not be disclosed outside the school without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide. 

 

Tuggeranong Arts Centre will from time-to-time send mail and email to students and past students for the purpose of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from TAC please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe, and you will be removed from our mailing list or you can simply unsubscribe at the bottom on the latest email. 

 

Payment of Fees 

 

All students in term-based classes will be invoiced. Payment through the Class Manager portal is preferred.Please quote invoice number on all transactions.  

 

Payment is required by the commencement of classes for the term. Late fees may apply. 

 

TAC has a roll-over policy for all term-based enrolments. Please note students will be invoiced for the next term towards the end of the current term. Please notify Tuggeranong Arts Centre if your child is not continuing for the following term.  

 

Fee Discounts 

 

We offer a number of discounts on fees, and these are listed below. 

  • Siblings: 10% discount on term fees for the second child. The early bird offer does not apply to second child. Sibling discounts do not apply to school holiday workshops, only term classes. Please phone to enrol and receive this discount. 

  • Multiple courses: Enrol one person in two or more term courses in the same term and receive 10% discount on the second and subsequent courses of equal or lesser value. Maximum discount on any one course 10%. 

 

 

Cancellation, Refund and Transfer Policy 

 

Tuggeranong Arts Centre reserves the right to amend any class, tutor, or schedule. Should a class have to be cancelled for any reason, such as insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged. 

 

Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness, and there are no transfers, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.   

 

If you withdraw due to injury or illness after a term has commenced, an application must be made in writing to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre within 2 weeks of your withdrawal. Refunds will only be made for the portion of classes unattended minus an administration fee. Refunds cannot be offered for any other circumstances.  

 

 

If you withdraw or cancel from a class or workshop, what you will receive back depends on the time you notify TAC: 

  • Cancellations up to 7 days before class commencement 

If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop up to 7 days before its commencement, you will be charged a $25 administration fee. You may transfer the remaining value (class fee paid less administration fee) to another class or student to be used within 12 months of the date payment was received. You will not receive a refund for the course or workshop fee paid. 

  • Cancellations within 7 days of class commencement 

If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop within 7 days of its commencement, you will be charged 50% of the class fee. You may transfer the remaining value (half of the value of the class fee paid) to another class or student, to be used within 12 months of the date payment was received. You will not receive a refund for the class fee paid. 

  • Cancellations once a course has commenced or on the day of the workshop 

You will not receive a refund, transfer, or credit once a course has commenced other than for illness with a medical certificate.  If you withdraw due to injury or illness after a term has commenced, an application must be made in writing to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre within 2 weeks of your withdrawal. Refunds will only be made for the portion of classes unattended minus an administration fee. Refunds cannot be offered for any other circumstances.
