Terms and Conditions of Enrolment –

Summary

These Terms and Conditions of Enrolment (the

"Terms") govern the relationship between you, as the

parent or legal guardian of the student(s) enrolling at

Gawler Academy of Dance (the "Academy"), and the

Academy. By enrolling your child(ren), you agree to

these Terms and acknowledge that you are

responsible for fulfilling the conditions outlined herein.

1. Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed by completing and submitting the enrolment form available on our website, subject

to eligibility and viability requirements. Enrolment forms are valid from January to December each calendar

year, constituting one dance season. At the conclusion of each dance season, all enrolment forms will be

archived. Re-enrolment is required for the following season, and updated information, including emergency

contacts, addresses, contact details, and the child’s age, must be provided.

When enrolling your child(ren), you (Parent/Guardian) are responsible in informing us of any medical

concerns with your child(ren). It is vital for our coaches to know if your child(ren) have any disabilities in

learning or in the general aspects, also including any physical disabilities such as asthma, epilepsy etc. If your

child(ren) does have any of the following stated above or similar, you’re also responsible to provide a plan of

action to us in case of an emergency within our care and also preference if you would like us to contact you

first (the emergency contact) or call an ambulance for assistance.

All our staff have first Aid training and understand the baseline needed in an emergency; every family is

different with how their child needs to be cared for in that state of emergency. If an emergency were to

occur and you do not provide us with instructions on how to care for your child, we will follow our first aid

training and if circumstances become greater within this emergency, we will call emergency services to

assist us in further care for your child. The Academy cannot be held liable or responsible for any

emergencies, injuries or costs that occur to your child(ren). You will understand the fact that dance is a sport

and is common for dancers to get injured like every other sport.

2. Payment

You will be charged according to your class selections as indicated on the online enrolment form.

Before each Term commences, we will send a quote of price, you must indicate within 3 days if all

classes are correct. (See payment policy)

Errors in invoicing will be corrected promptly within those 2 weeks. However, an admin fee will be

added for not informing our staff after we provided you with your quote. All payments are non-

refundable. If an underpayment occurs, your child will lose opportunities to participate in concerts,

exams, competitions and won’t be able to buy costumes. (See Payment Policy)

If you enrol after classes have commenced for the term, you will only be charged for the remaining

classes of that school term.

The Academy reserves the right to change the price of classes or bundle and packs. You will be

notified of any price changes with appropriate notice, the Academy will not accept unworldly and

rudely approached questions under any circumstances. The Academy reserves the right to not

respond to any outraging comments or questions. Any indication that the situation becomes public,

you will be terminated from the Academy. (See paragraph 5 for details)By business consumer law’s we are not obligated to provide a refund for any circumstances,

3. Changes to Enrolments

To make changes to your enrolment, please contact the Academy directly by email. Changes may be subject

to availability and additional charges. (See Payment Policy for details)

4. Cancellation of Classes

The Academy reserves the right to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances within reason. In such

cases, you will be notified, and a catch-up lesson will be issued when coaches are available. (See Payment

Policy for further details to see what is eligible for a catch-up lesson).

5. Termination of Enrolment

The Academy reserves the right to terminate enrolment if you or your child(ren) fail to adhere to all our

terms and conditions, Student Code of Conduct and Parent Code of Conduct (See GAD Parent Handbook) or

engage in behaviour deemed inappropriate by the Academy. Any public backlash on public socials of any

kind will be reported to the officials depending on the outcome of the backlash. If you have a concern, you

will appropriately approach the Owner of the Academy ONLY. It is not our coach’s job to deal with your

concerns outside of the lesson matters or conversations. The Academy staff reserve the right to ignore any

messages or calls that may result in major conflict between both parties if expressed in an inappropriate

way.

6. Parents Being in Class

Parents are generally not permitted to observe classes unless specifically invited by the instructor. This

policy is to ensure a focused learning environment. If your child has special needs and our coaches require

extra supervision in class, you may be asked to watch the class.

7. Drop Off and Pick Up

Parents/guardians must ensure that students are dropped off and picked up promptly. Please drop off on

the street out the front, watch your child enter our property or bring your child in with you. Do not park in

our carpark for pickup as these are reserved for coaches and senior students who transport themselves.

Your child must remain in our Dancers Den for pickup, when you have parked out the front either message

your child or go in to get them. If your child exits our property (past the White Gates) and something

happens to them, we are not and cannot be responsible or reliable as we have set the rules firmly in place

for your child.

8. Exams/Competitions

Students may have the opportunity to participate in exams. Participation is subject to additional fees and

requires prior consent to the Manger of the Academy.

9. Age Classifications

Students will be grouped according to their age and skill level. The Academy reserves the right to adjust

class placements as necessary.10. Attendance and Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for progress. Persistent lateness or absences may affect a

student’s progression and participation. If your child will be absent, you are required to inform us if they are

unable to attend class.

11. Teachers

The Academy reserves the right to assign or change instructors as needed. All teachers are qualified and

experienced professionals or into progression of professional.

12. Duty of Care

The Academy is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment. However, it is not liable for any

injuries sustained during class or other Academy-related activities. Our team will ensure and admit first aid

to students if injuries occur.

13. Behavioural Code of Conduct

Students are expected to exhibit respectful behaviour at all times. The Academy reserves the right to

suspend students who do not adhere to the behavioural standards set forth. If suspension isn’t assisting in

their realisation of their behaviour, a dismissal may need to be considered.

14. Social Media Policy

Students and parents are prohibited from posting any Videos of routines on public socials, whether it be a

competition routine, public event’s, concerts or any Gawler Academy-related content on social media

without prior consent. You may post your own child in costume or uniform in an appropriate and positive

setting. If we find some content that may be deemed inappropriate and may tarnish our imaging, the

Academy reserves the right to request to have the post taken down no questions asked and no objections, if

there is further protest, we will report the post to the social media platform and get it taken down or get

authorities involved.

15. Rights to the Use of Choreography

The Academy retains the rights to all choreography created for classes. Any use of this choreography outside

of our studio activities requires permission. This includes use of costumes.

16. Food and Drink

Food and drink are not allowed in the dance studios (Studio 1, 2 & 3). Please ensure that students consume

refreshments before or after class in our Dancer’s Den provided. Water only in studio, pura tap water is

available in studio for use. We do not supply appliances, please bring easy snack food.

17. Damages

You (Parent/Guardians) are responsible for any damages caused by your child(ren) to the Academy’s

property. Costs for repairs or replacements will be billed accordingly. Failure to pay for these bills may result

in a debt collector to ensure the damage is paid in full.

18. Merchandise

Merchandise purchased from the Academy is non-refundable. Please ensure you select the correct size and

items before purchasing. If you chose to unenroll from our dance school, we will happily purchase any

uniform (non-personalised merchandise) back from you for half price. This also includes recent costumes

purchased by us. You’re not allowed to sell your merchandise on marketplace or any other selling websites.

Once you have paid and received costumes for your dancer, if damage occurs or a rip develops the Academy

are not responsible to fix or replace the costume. You are responsible if your child damages or breaks their

costume.

19. Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your contact details up-to-date and for ensuring your child(ren) complies

with all the Academy rules and policies.

20. Surveillance

The Academy use’s surveillance cameras in common areas for security purposes. These recordings are for

internal use only.

21. Acceptance

By completing the enrolment form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms

and Conditions.
