GENERAL:
- Go Theatre reserve the right to refuse an application.
- Go Theatre accepts students on the assumption that they are in good health. No responsibility will be taken for any accident or injury sustained to students on the school premises or at outside premises during lessons, rehearsals, or performances.
- Go Theatre reserves the right to alter the curriculum arrangements and staffing without notice should the need arise.
- You must inform us of any specific information which is not included on the original Application Form, but which applies to your child. If any child arrives with a serious medical condition not previously reported or develops a serious medical condition during their time at Go Theatre either of which requires regular staff supervision, we regret they may not be able to attend classes if the necessary adjustment cannot be made.
- Go Theatre does not accept responsibility for loss of monies, clothing, personal effects, or properties of any kind from the tuition, rehearsal or performance venues.
CONDUCT:
- All students are expected to conduct themselves sensibly during all classes, always showing self-discipline and respect towards others.
- Students who damage company equipment or property through misuse or reckless behaviour will be held liable for any costs of repair or replacement.
- The Performing Arts are, by their very nature, reliant upon strict discipline and awareness of others. Students who consistently fail to reach the required standard of behaviour during classes seriously affect the progress and enjoyment of other students and may be excluded from all Go Theatre activities.
- Students are required to behave responsibly on all Social Media platforms that are linked to Go Theatre. Posts and other material that harm other students or bring Go Theatre into disrepute will not be tolerated and will lead to disciplinary action and possible exclusion.
- Students are required to wear Go Theatre uniform for all classes, rehearsals and at times during performances. Uniform consists of a Go Theatre t-shirt, black plain tracksuit bottoms/leggings and black jazz shoes.
FEES:
- Fees are payable within 30 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. To request special payment terms please email [email protected]
- We regret that family /multi-class discounts will cease to apply when payment terms have not been met.
- Fees are non-refundable if a student leaves during the term or is absent for any reason.
- Notice of half a term (or 6 weeks) must be given if leaving the school to terminate this agreement. Notice should be provided in writing to [email protected]. If the student is unable to attend during the notice period, the fees for that period remain due.
Respectful Conduct & Anti-Bullying Policy
At Go, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and families. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, victimisation, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behaviour, whether it occurs in person or online.
This includes, but is not limited to:
•Verbal, emotional or physical bullying by students or parents.
•Victimisation or exclusion of any individual.
•Spreading rumours, intimidation or coercion.
•Inappropriate or disrespectful communication, including via social media.
Any student or parent found to be engaging in such behaviour may be subject to immediate disciplinary action, which could include suspension or removal from classes and/or the school.
Complaints & Concerns Procedure
We encourage open and respectful communication. If a student, parent or guardian has any concerns, we ask that they follow the complaints procedure outlined below:
1.Informal Resolution:
Where possible, raise the concern directly with Emma-Jayne or Cadi Mullane. Many issues can be resolved informally and quickly.
2.Formal Complaint:
If the issue is not resolved informally, a formal written complaint can be submitted via email or letter to Emma-Jayne. Please include:
•A clear description of the concern
•Names of those involved (if appropriate)
•Any evidence or relevant information
3.Investigation:
The complaint will be acknowledged within 5 working days and an investigation will be conducted. All parties will be treated with respect and confidentiality.
4.Outcome:
A written response outlining the findings and any necessary actions will be provided within 10 working days of receiving the complaint.
5.Appeal (if necessary):
If the outcome is not satisfactory, the complainant may appeal in writing to the Emma-Jayne or an appointed independent reviewer. A final decision will be made within a further 10 working days.
