Terms and Conditions

Squad Membership and Visit Pass

Non-payment = no swim.

Payments due via automated payment process per fortnight (or month in advance).  To stop payments, you can remove your payment method. However, please provide us notice as outlined in these terms and conditions for changes or withdrawals.

Single Casual visits paid in advance via debit / credit card.

Family discount is 5% of squad swimming fees where there are two participants, 10% where there are three

Fees are non-refundable.

Fees are consistent regardless of shorter weeks due to public holidays.

We reserve our right to adjust the availability of our squads either ongoing or on a temporary basis due to unexpected illness, closures, weather, cleaning, renovations, repairs, maintenance, upgrades or special holidays.

Medical Release

I declare that myself/my child is medically fit and capable to engage in the HBSC squad. I have or will inform the squad coach of any condition or risk that may have an effect on myself/my child’s ability to participate in the program prior to commencement. If circumstances change I will immediately notify the coach.

Cooling off Period

A cooling off period for memberships is 7 days from when an agreement is signed.

You may terminate your Membership Agreement at any time prior to the close of business on the last day of the Cooling Off Period by giving us written notice.

If you terminate this Membership Agreement during the Cooling Off Period this membership agreement will be terminated on the date of your written notice is received by us, and we will refund you all Fees you have paid to us under this Membership Agreement.

If you do not terminate this Membership Agreement during the Cooling Off Period, this Membership Agreement will continue until cancelled by you.

Suspension / Hold

For non-illness absence, the club must be advised in writing at least 2 weeks in advance. The related funds will be held as a credit and applied to future invoices.

Pause minimum 1 week at a time, up to 4 weeks per year, unlimited with medical certificate.

Anyone experiencing difficulty with the payment of training fees should contact the Hervey Bay Swimming Club committee.

Termination

Two weeks written notice to the administrator of the club is required on termination squad membership.

The Hervey Bay Swimming Club reserves the right to terminate this membership agreement in accordance with the following conditions:

Outstanding Fees

- Squad members will be liable for all fees until written notice of withdrawal of a squad is received by the club.

- Squad members will still be liable for all outstanding fees at the time of termination.

- If a collection agency is required to collect outstanding fees, then the cost of that collection is to be borne by the swimmer or their guardian.

Filming Release for Training Purposes

I hereby give HBSC my permission to film myself/my child within the training session to provide feedback on techniques for stroke development. I understand this footage will be used in-house and for self-reflection purposes. 

Photo and Digital Release

I hereby give HSBC my permission to use, publish a images/videos of myself/my child in any newsletters and inhouse promotional materials, or on the HBSC social media channels. Should you wish us not to publish images or videos of yourself and/or your child, please inform the HBSC committee in writing at [email protected].

General Conditions of Entry

- Abide by conditions of entry as outlined by the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre.

- Abide by the lane lap swimming signage on the pool concourse when lap swimming.

- Be considerate of other swimmers and swim to the left when sharing lanes.

- Always observe pool rules and follow any reasonable instruction given by lifeguards & staff.

Hervey Bay Swimming Club Squad Code of Conduct

All members of the Hervey Bay Swimming Club (HSBC) squad are expected to abide by this code of conduct. By joining/rejoining as a squad member, you affirm your commitment to abide by the HBSC squad code of conduct and outlined policies.

If you are unable to follow any of the points, then please notify us immediately. You are required to:

All squad members must comply with SwimmingAustralia policies.

Follow the National Integrity Framework set forth by Sport Integrity Australia which is a set of rules that all members of a sport need to follow when it comes to their behaviour and conduct in sport.
