must be given in writing if a student wishes to leave any classes.
Fees are calculated on a 12-monthly basis, which takes into account the number
of classes taken throughout the year and spreads it into 12 equal monthly
payments.
Fees are not waived in respect of family holidays, school trips, school exams or short-term sickness or injury.
Instances of long-term sickness will be assessed on an individual basis.
In the event of a student leaving Illusion Dance Academy with fees outstanding, we reserve the right to pursue recovery of the debt by all legal means including court action.
We reserve the right to cancel any classes any time up to and including the day the class starts. should this occur, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible via social media, email and message. The classes will then be made up at a later date.
All teachers are qualified, trained, or run under the ISTD. They are all DBS checked & insured. Due to the nature of teaching performing arts, sometimes it is necessary to correct positions physically. this is always conducted with care and professionalism.
Illusion Dance Academy does not accept liability for personal injury to any student attending class, with the exception of such injury being caused by negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.
Illusion does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
Illusion does not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control.
Illusion is only responsible for pupils whilst in their registered class. Children cannot be supervised on the premises if they are not taking part in the scheduled class. If being collected, children must be picked up promptly at the time their class finishes.
Illusion Dance Academy holds public liability insurance, details of which can be provided if necessary.
These terms and conditions and registering your customer portal, constitute an agreement between you and us in connection to classes or any services superseding any prior agreement.
Attendance at class is deemed to be acceptance of the current terms and conditions.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to notify Illusion of any illness or injury that may affect the students participation at class.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that we have all the correct details for you and your child on the portal and update any changes to health.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to regularly read the Facebook page, portal or emails for any information or updates so you are fully aware of any upcoming events or changes.
In the event that we consider you to be in breach of these terms and conditions, or that your child is disruptive to other students or staff, we reserve the right to exclude your child from any activity within the school.
Photographs and video footage of pupils taken by Illusion may be used on our facebook/instagram page and for publicity purposes. If you do not wish your child’s image to be used for these purposes please make sure you have ticked the correct box when registering your child.
Discipline, timekeeping, and appearance are all very important parts of dancing
and performing in general. Students are expected to attend class on time,
well presented and in the correct uniform. Hair must be neat, tidy, and tied
back off the face.
Only students, the teacher, and an assistant will be present
in classes except in exceptional circumstances. If there is an extra need for
your child, please let us know and we can find a solution.
Students are expected to bring their own clearly named water bottles to every class.
