Insight Dance & Arts Terms and Conditions

Enrolment

Enrolment with Insight Dance & Arts will reserve a place within the appropriate class. Once enrolment is complete payment is required for all scheduled classes regardless of attendance. There is an annual enrolment fee which will be payable each September and will cover administration and insurance fees.

All enrolment fees are non-refundable.

All students must register on ClassManager so we have emergency contact details, medical needs and correct permissions if you are studying with Insight Dance & Arts. This is also our invoicing system and online shop. This must be done prior to coming to a class, excluding trials.

Please ensure that any changes to pupil’s contact details are in writing by emailing InsightDanceArts@outlook.com, or updated on the portal by yourselves. All details will be held in strict confidentiality (Data Protection Act 1998) and will not be passed on to outside parties except to the IDTA for children doing dancing exams

Payments for classes

Fees are paid monthly in advance and payment is required no later than the 7th day of each month. You will be invoiced before the start of the month through our Management Information System ClassManager. The invoice will display IDA’s bank details and this can be paid via BACS.

Where it is necessary for Insight Dance & Arts to cancel a lesson, alternative arrangements will be made so that training can continue. Where an alternative isn’t provided, a credit will be added to the following months invoice.

If payments are more than 7 days late a 10% fee will be added to the invoice, this is simply to cover the administrative costs that incur from chasing payments. This is not a way for the school to make additional money. The fee will show on your invoice as 10% late payment fee.

Four weeks written notice is required by email to InsightDanceArts@outlook.com to terminate your place. If less notice is given, you will still be invoiced in lieu of notice. You can dance out your notice.

Pay As You Go

Students are given the option to ‘PAYG’ for a select few classes in order to accommodate students’ needs. The classes that have this option are at the discretion of the principle and will be apparent when registering.

· PAYG sessions will need to be booked and paid for prior to the start of the class.

· Unless booked, a PAYG student will not have a guaranteed space and under no circumstance will be permitted if we have reached capacity.

· You can book classes in advanced.

· PAYG rate is offered at a premium but no notice is required.

Special Rate Schemes

In order to encourage students who are serious about dancing, a special rate scheme is available with a set fee covering a minimum of five dance classes per week and any additional classes available. In order to access this rate pupils are required to attend the core subjects of Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz & Acro. Pupils must attend their own grade classes, but have the opportunity to attend any other class at the discretion of the Principal.

To continue access to this special rate, pupils are required to attend all lessons that they have agreed with the Principal. Commitment to these classes is expected regardless of outside activities, holidays and festivals.

Private Lesson

Private Lessons are paid for in advance at the time of booking.

At least 36 hours’ notice is required to cancel a booked private lesson. You must receive confirmation of your cancellation from Insight Dance & Arts to guarantee a refund. If less than 36 hours’ notice is given, then the full fee is payable if a replacement student cannot be found to take the lesson. If the lesson can be filled then a £2 charge is payable, to cover administration costs. (See Private Lesson Agreement).

Where Insight Dance & Arts cancels the Private lesson, the fees are carried over to the following lesson, or refunded in full as appropriate.

Class Fees

Current class fees are displayed within the parent portal, of ClassManager at point of registration. They are revised yearly in September and rise in line with inflation. Insight Dance & Arts reserves the right to alter class times and fees at any time with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice.

Examination Fees

The current examination fees charged by the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA) will be made available prior to pupils being entered for an exam. These fees are revised yearly in September by the IDTA Examinations Council. Payment of exam fees is required 2 weeks prior to each exam to guarantee entry.

Refund of Fees

Where it is necessary for Insight Dance & Arts to cancel a lesson, alternative arrangements will be made so that training can continue. Where an alternative isn’t provided, a credit will be added to the following months invoice.

Where a pupil is ill for more than 2 weeks a refund may be considered on production of a bona fide Doctor's Note at the discretion of Insight Dance & Arts.

Should it be necessary to close the school on account of an epidemic, or natural crisis, or any circumstances over which Insight Dance & Arts has no control, fees will not be refunded or compensation made for lost training.

Insight Dance & Arts may, at their discretion and without assigning any reason, at any time conclude the course of tuition in respect of any student. In the event no further fees will be payable by the student, and the student shall not be entitled to claim the return of any fees, or any part thereof already paid.

Should a situation arise which affect payment of fees, then please inform contact InsightDanceARts@outlook.com immediately. Matters will be dealt with on a case by case

Complaints, Comments and Compliments

Please email InsightDanceArts@outlook.com, if you have a complaint about the dance school, this will be dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

Uniform

Pupils are required to attend class wearing the correct uniform for the style of dance they are participating in, therefore various items may be required throughout the evening/day. Correct shoes must be worn for Tap and Ballet styles. Students must wear their hair up and off the face. Students are not allowed to wear Jewelry to classes, please ensure this is removed at home so it cannot get lost.

No outside shoes are to be worn in the studio unless for Street and Commercial dance styles. Please ensure that shoes are clean before entering the studios.

As well as jewelry, Insight Dance & Arts do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to property left on the premises so please leave all valuables at home.

Any student not adhering to these rules will not be allowed into the studio until they are correctly dressed.

Social Media

Please ensure you have cleared ticked the permissions section within ClassManager. Social Media is vital for the growth of our school and Students will be used for advertising, on Facebook, Instagram, and websites.

Mobile phones will not be permitted within the studios, to keep students safe.
