Classes
1. Please note that by payment being received for the term you will confirm your acknowledgement and agreement of these terms and conditions.
2. Parents need to join our portal on Class Manager to register their child before their first class and must provide an emergency contact number.

3. You are responsible for your child before and after class. Please do not leave your child unattended.
4. If you would like to have your child collected from Beaulieu’s after school club its the parents responsibility to inform us what day they will be attending. Any children not listed won’t be able to be collected.
5. It's the principal's decision to decide which class is best suited to your child. Classes are based on age and ability first.
Fees
1. All fees are payable in advance before the start of any term via cash or online payments.
2. For any online payments please use your Invoice number in the reference to make it easy to track. (Inv.1234)
3. No refunds will be given for any class.
4. Some online transactions come through as the parents surname which is different to their childs. Parents are responsible to make us aware if this is the case to avoid any problems.
5. Payment plans are available if you wish to pay monthly instead of termly. Please contact via [email protected] to set up accordingly.
6. Please note monthly payments can't be cancelled until the full term has been paid for. These payments are non-returnable and require a small admin fee included in the monthly payment.
7. All monthly payments must be set up to be taken out on the either thr 28th or 2nd of each month.
8. The reference in the online transfer should state which number payment you are sending. (lnv.1234 -1/4)
9. If your monthly payment transations are not clear and difficult for JMDS to keep track of the principal has the right to stop them and full payment will be required.
10. If you wish to cancel your monthly payment you must notify us beforehand and ensure full payment has been sent before doing so.
11. The principal has the right to exclude any pupil from class unless fees are paid.
12. JMDS reserve the right to increase the fees without prior notice.
13. It is the principal's decision to enter any children into exams/competitions.
14. A fee will be required if your child needs any extra lessons.
15. All fees must be paid for by the deadline given for any exams/competitions. Failure to do this may result in your child being withdrawn.
16. Half a terms notice should be given for any withdrawal from classes. This must be given via letter or email to the Principal no later than the last Saturday before the half term.
17. Parents are responsible to give notice, failure to provide written notice by the above day will require next terms invoice due in full. No exceptions will be made.
18. Any payments not paid by the stated date written on the invoice will result in any discounts being removed.
19. Further to that if payments are still not settled the invoice will incure a 10% surcharge. Failure to pay the invoice will be dealt with at Petty Debt Court.
Pupils
1. Children must be punctual to class wearing the appropriate clothing. See uniform list for further information.
2. Children's hair must be tied up appropriately for classes. It must be in a bun for Ballet and either a bun or plaits for Acro. NO PONYTAILS!
3. No jewellery is to be worn in class, if piercings cannot be removed they should be covered with micropore or plasters.
4. Bad behaviour is not tolerated and may result in exclusion from classes.
5. The Principal accepts no responsibility for any items lost or damaged by the pupil, whether inside the studio of out.
6. The Principal does not provide supervision or accept the responsibility for any child other than during their class/rehearsal. Parents remain responsible for their children at all other times before and after the class/rehearsal.
7. Parents are responsible for notifying the Principal of any illness or conditions that may affect their child during class e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, dyslexia. This can be sent through the online system on your child’s profile. Parents are responsible to notify JMDS of any updates to the records. This my be given in writing.
8. We will do our upmost to create a safe environment to learn in however, parents/guardians must be aware of the risks that may occur in taking part in dance classes. Like any physical activity, there is always a risk of physical injury.Parents/guardians must agree not to hold JMDS or any of its staff accountable in any such event.
9. In a case of illness or injury we will make every reasonable effort to contact the parent/guardian immediately on the contact number you have provided when registration. However, if you are unavailable or precluded due to an acuteemergency, we will secure emergency medical care for the child and provide a safe environment.
Child Protection
1. Teaching dance is a physical activity and a teacher will sometimes need to make physical contact with a student to show an idea or correct the student's position/posture.
2. Where contact is needed we will remain sensitive to the students wishes and put their welfare first.
3. In all cases we will say why and how we will be correcting the student's position before making any contact.
4. The Principal encourages students to report any concems.
5. All teaching staff at JMDS will have an up to date police check.
6. JMDS share progress of our students on our website and social media pages via photos or videos. It is the parent's responsibility to tick their consent to allow your child to be in any photos or videos on the Class manager profile. Please notify us if you would not like your child to be featured. This can also be given via email.
7. All footage is the property if JM Dance Studios.
