JNP Dance Academy Policies and Procedures

Registration: A students spot for a class is reserved for the 2020-2021 school year once their registration form has been received and processed.

Tuition: Tuition is due the first full week of each month. JNP Dance Academy will send monthly bills for tuition through the Parent Portal. As a courtesy to our customers, a grace period is extended through the 2nd week of each month. After that time, a $10 late fee will be assessed. JNP Dance Academy charges a $30 fee for returned checks. Although some months have less than four weeks and others five, tuition rate is constant and does not change from month to month. 

Absences: Tuition must be paid for all scheduled classes; whether or not the student is in attendance. It is the students responsibility to attend a make-up class if desired, as space allows. Tuition is not refunded for classes not attended. If it is necessary for a student to be excessively absent, other arrangements can be made with the owner. In some rare circumstances, it may be preferable to withdraw a student and re-enroll at a later date.

Withdrawal: If a student needs to withdraw, JNP Dance Academy requires notification prior to the tuition due date for the following month. If a student misses more than 2 weeks of class, or tuition is delinquent, JNP Dance Academy reserves the right to withdraw the student from class. Tuition will still be due for all unfulfilled classes. JNP Dance Academy has a zero tolerance policy and expects appropriate behavior from all students, parents, guardians, staff and instructors. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove anyone from class who we feel does not meet these expectations. No refunds will be given.

Studio Closures/Snow Days/Holidays: JNP Dance Academy follows the Salisbury Public School Calendar for holiday schedules and school closures due to snow and other weather related events.

Photo/Video Release: JNP Dance Academy has permission to use students’ images for promotional purposes, press releases and on the studio website. JNP Dance Academy will not associate students' names with photos without seeking additional permissions. Photos taken by JNP Dance Academy are the property of JNP Dance Academy.

Costumes: JNP Dance Academy will attempt to keep costume costs to a minimum, however, the parent/legal guardian or adult student is responsible for the purchase of recital costume(s) and therefore will own said costume(s). Costume(s) will be sent home when payment is paid in full.  If a student's account has a balance due for past tuition, late fees, or other charges, the costume(s) will be kept at the studio until the account is brought current. If a student must drop or withdraw from a class after costume(s) have been ordered, it will be their responsibility to pay for the costume(s) and they will be notified when costume(s) arrive. The student will have 30 days to pick up the costume(s). After 30 days, the costume(s) will become the property of JNP Dance Academy. NO REFUNDS are given for costumes.
