Terms and Conditions

Section 1: Fees

• Fees are payable for a full term regardless of attendance unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Principal. Termly fees are fixed and are not adjusted.

• Fees are charged on a termly basis and are based on the published term dates for the relevant academic year.

• Term dates are published in advance and generally follow local school term dates where possible. Due to the timing of school holidays, bank holidays, studio closures and other calendar considerations, the number of teaching weeks may vary between terms.

• A 5% charge will be added to all accounts not paid by the due date on the invoice. Continued non payment may result in students being refused entry to classes until the account is settled.

•  Students are automatically enrolled each term unless written notice is given by the termly withdrawal deadline.

• No refunds or credits will be given for classes missed due to student absence.

• If a student is asked to leave a class due to a breach of these Terms and Conditions, fees will not be refunded.

• Additional activities including private lessons, examination coaching, workshops and other supplementary classes will be charged separately from regular class fees.Private lessons require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellation. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

• Just Move Dance Studio reserves the right to amend its fees. Reasonable notice will be provided wherever possible.

•  A 5% discount applies where a student attends three or more classes per term. A 10% discount applies where a student attends seven or more classes per term.

• Discounts apply only when enrolment is for the full term and when payment is received by the invoice due date.

• Monthly payment plans are available at the discretion of the School. Monthly payment customers are not eligible for multi-class discounts. Monthly instalments must be paid by the 25th of each month. The School reserves the right to withdraw a monthly payment arrangement where payments are repeatedly missed.

Section 2: Cancellation or Amendment

• If you intend to withdraw your child from Just Move Dance Studio or change any class(es), notice in writing is required on or before the last day of the first half of the term. Withdrawal or changes will take effect from the beginning of the next term. Notice dates will be communicated in termly newsletters.

Notice deadlines for 2026–2027:

• Spring Term 2026: Friday 16th October 2026
• Summer Term 2027: Friday 12th February 2027
• Autumn Term 2027: Friday 28th May 2027

If written notice is not received by the relevant deadline, fees for the following term will remain payable in full. No exceptions will be made.

• In cases where fees remain unpaid, the School may pursue recovery through appropriate legal channels. An administrative charge of £20 may be added to cover processing and recovery costs.

• On rare occasions where a class is cancelled due to teacher sickness, health epidemic or other unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to reschedule the class. This may include an alternative day or time and may result in an extension to term dates. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

• If it is necessary to cancel a class due to adverse weather conditions or if a child cannot attend due to participation in another Just Move Dance Studio performance, exam or event, fees will not be refunded.

Section 3: Uniform, Class Timing and Behaviour Etiquette

• Clean and tidy class uniforms are mandatory after a student’s first half-term of attendance.

• Hair must be neatly tied back for Jazz, Tap, Modern, Acro and Musical Theatre. Ballet students must wear a neat classical bun with fringes secured away from the face.

• Jewellery, including watches, must be removed before class. Small stud earrings are permitted.

• Students must be dressed and ready to begin class on time and collected promptly at the end of class. The Principal/teacher cannot accept responsibility for supervision outside lesson times.

• Students and parents/guardians must demonstrate respectful behaviour towards staff, students and venues. Bullying or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the School.

• The Principal reserves the right to exclude any student for inappropriate behaviour.

• Students are responsible for their own belongings. The School is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

• Students must not leave the studio without permission from the teacher.

• Children of primary school age and under must be collected from inside the building by a parent/carer or authorised adult. The teacher must be informed if collection is by someone other than a parent or legal guardian.

• Only water may be brought into class.

Section 4: Miscellaneous and Data Protection

• Classes will not run on Bank Holidays.

• Participation in classes and events involves an inherent level of physical risk. Students take part at their own risk. Physical correction may be used in class where appropriate, always carried out respectfully and professionally.

• Students are selected for examinations, competitions and teams at the Principal’s discretion.

• The timetable and teaching staff may be subject to change. Parents will be notified of any changes.

• All communication regarding enrolment, fees, timetables, attendance or student progress must be directed to the School office via [email protected]. Parents and guardians are requested not to contact teaching staff directly unless urgent.

• The School may take photographs or video recordings during classes, rehearsals and events for promotional and marketing purposes. Consent will be requested upon enrolment and may be withdrawn at any time in writing.

• The School is not liable for disruption or cancellation of classes due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, venue closure, public health events or government restrictions.

Section 5: Changes to Terms and Conditions

• Just Move Dance Studio reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary for the effective operation of the School.

• Customers must acknowledge acceptance of these Terms and Conditions when enrolling via the online registration form.

• Submission of the enrolment form and/or attendance at class constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
