KalaKriti Academy of the Arts
Terms & Conditions
By registering for classes, workshops, camps, performances, exams, or events with KalaKriti Academy of the Arts, the student and/or parent/guardian agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Registration & Enrollment
Registration is required before participating in any KalaKriti Academy of the Arts program. Enrollment is confirmed only after the registration form is completed and payment is received.
A one-time registration fee will apply to new students. This fee is non-refundable and helps cover administrative setup and student records.
Class placement is determined by KalaKriti Academy of the Arts based on the student’s age, experience, readiness, and teacher recommendation. KalaKriti reserves the right to move a student to a more appropriate class level if needed.
2. Tuition & Payment
Tuition must be paid by the stated deadline to secure a student’s spot. Payments may be accepted through Zelle, cash, check, credit card, or another approved payment method.
Credit card or online processing fees may apply and will be disclosed before payment.
Tuition is charged by session, semester, workshop, camp, event, or program, depending on the offering. Partial attendance does not reduce tuition.
Students may not participate in class if tuition or required fees remain unpaid, unless prior written arrangements have been approved by KalaKriti Academy of the Arts.
3. Refunds, Credits & Withdrawals
All registration fees are non-refundable.
Tuition is non-refundable after the session, semester, workshop, camp, or program has begun.
If a student withdraws before the first class of a session, KalaKriti may offer a credit toward a future program, subject to availability and approval. Refunds are not guaranteed.
No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes, vacations, schedule conflicts, illness, lack of attendance, or voluntary withdrawal after the program begins.
If KalaKriti Academy of the Arts cancels a full program before it begins, families will be offered a refund or credit.
4. Missed Classes & Makeups
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
Makeup classes are not guaranteed. If a makeup class is offered, it must be scheduled and approved by KalaKriti Academy of the Arts and is subject to class availability, level appropriateness, and teacher discretion.
Missed classes cannot be transferred to another student, family member, or future session unless approved in writing.
5. Class Cancellations, Weather & Studio Closures
KalaKriti Academy of the Arts reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, combine, or modify classes due to weather, teacher availability, low enrollment, facility issues, holidays, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control.
When possible, KalaKriti will provide a makeup class, online class, alternate date, or class credit at its discretion.
No refunds will be issued for temporary closures or schedule changes outside of KalaKriti’s control.
6. Student Conduct & Classroom Expectations
Students are expected to behave respectfully toward teachers, classmates, assistants, staff, parents, and studio property.
Disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior may result in parent notification, removal from class, suspension, or dismissal from the program without refund.
Students should arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to participate.
7. Dress Code & Materials
Students must follow the dress code provided by KalaKriti Academy of the Arts for their class level or program.
Required items may include practice clothing, dance attire, ghungroos, notebooks, costumes, jewelry, or performance materials.
Families are responsible for purchasing or renting required items unless otherwise stated.
8. Performances, Exams & Events
Participation in performances, showcases, exams, festivals, competitions, or special events may require additional fees, rehearsals, costumes, jewelry, tickets, photos, videos, or other expenses.
Performance and exam participation are not guaranteed and may depend on attendance, readiness, behavior, preparation, and teacher approval.
Performance fees, costume fees, recital fees, ticket fees, exam fees, and event fees are non-refundable once paid.
9. Costumes, Jewelry & Rentals
Any costume, jewelry, prop, or accessory provided by KalaKriti Academy of the Arts must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. There will be a $50 fee for any damaged costumes.
Families may be responsible for replacement, repair, or cleaning costs if items are lost, damaged, altered, or not returned on time.
10. Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Supervision
Parents/guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up.
KalaKriti Academy of the Arts is responsible for students only during their scheduled class time. Parents/guardians remain responsible for students before class begins and after class ends.
Young students must be escorted into and out of the building by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult unless otherwise approved.
Late pick-ups may result in additional fees.
11. Health, Safety & Physical Activity
Dance and movement classes involve physical activity. By registering, students and/or parents/guardians acknowledge that participation may involve risks including, but not limited to, muscle soreness, falls, injury, fatigue, or physical strain.
Students should participate only if they are physically able to do so. Parents/guardians must notify KalaKriti Academy of the Arts of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, limitations, or special needs that may affect participation.
Students should not attend class if they are sick, contagious, or unable to safely participate.
In case of emergency, KalaKriti Academy of the Arts may contact the parent/guardian and, if necessary, seek emergency medical assistance.
12. Food, Allergies & Personal Belongings
