·What information we hold

When you join LJDA you will complete an enrolment form which will have details of your child, your address and contact numbers. It also requests your permission to take photos of your child for use on the LJDA social media pages and to take videos of your child for the same and when the annual shows take place.


· What the information is used for

The information held I use to assess which class will be suitable for your child, class sizes and emailing invoices for payments, uniform, competitions and examinations. Permissions are required for parents FB, shows, workshops, competitions and exams. Without this permission your child cannot take part in the shows as these are videoed


· How long it is stored

For as long as your child is a pupil with us their information will be stored securely and up to date information is essential in case we need to contact you When/if your child leaves the school, their information will be shredded confidentially, however if you leave owing any money we will continue to hold the information until this is repaid


· How is it stored

The information is stored in the following ways

- On a PC which is accessed by a password

- On a programme which generates invoices called Dance Class Manager, this also complies with the regulations

- In a locked filing cabinet at the dance school and the keys locked away separately

- On a mobile phone protected by a password used for business/dancing


· Who has access to the data stored

The only people with access to your data are Lauren, Judy and Lexy – we only use your data for the above purposes. Lauren will only ever share your data with your consent (unless there is any legal requirement to do so) with the following organisations and for the following reasons.

The council – at showtime

The IDTA – for examinations

Dance Class Manager – Our system provider, class registers and invoices.


Consent By clicking accept, you are confirming that you have read this Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice and that you are consenting to Lauren J Dance Academy, holding and processing your personal data for the above purposes Where you do not grant consent we will not be able to use your personal information, except in certain limited situations, such as where required to do so by law or to protect members of the public from serious harm.


Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw your consent for data to be held by LJDA and/or apply for your data held to be erased by writing to LJDA at any time. This can be for all or any one of the above purposes. Please note that all processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn consent, but this will not affect any personal data that has already been processed prior to this point.
