Your Commitment
- Our Mission is to inspire a great love of dance while offering quality dance experiences.
- We are committed to providing a happy, healthy and exciting environment with the opportunity for students to thrive and grow as dancers. Those who are enrolling are expected to show respect to fellow students, teachers, parents and staff members.
- Students who engage in any antisocial behaviour such as verbal or physical, intimidation, discrimination in all forms, harrasment or threats of any nature will risk having their enrolment cancelled and no refund will be issued.
Enrolment
- It is assumed that when you enrol, you are enrolling for the Full Year of Tuition
- Withdrawal from classes is in writing only - please email leoniesacademyofdance
Attendance
- It is expected that students attend their scheduled classes
- Regular attendance is critical to the progress and development of each student, especially in performance classes and those wishing to participate in exams.
- Parents are asked to advise of any absences by emailing Miss Leonie
Uniform and Hair
- Please note this will be STRONGLY enforced for ALL students. We enforce the uniform requirements and ask you to ensure your child is appropriately groomed to enable them to feel like a dancer and be best prepared to learn and be inspired.
- If arrived without the correct uniform or hair requirements, you will be asked to leave class and to return with the correct attire.
- Ballet tights are strictly to be worn in all ballet and contemporary classes.
- Hair must be neatly pulled back off the face and secured in a ballet bun for ALL classes.
- Boys are expected to be neat in their appearance.
- Please ensure stockings do not have holes or ladders.
- No make-up or nail polish is permitted in exams.
- Nail polish is prohibited for competitions and concerts.
- Jewellery is not allowed in class as it can be misplaced or cause injury to the student or others. It is also a distraction to teachers and to students.
- All students must have appropriate change of clothes to wear to and from the studio.
Fees T&C’s
- An invoice will be given via email at the start of each term and fees are due strictly within 21 days from the invoice date.
- An additional 10% will be charged to those accounts not paid by the due date. Please note this will strictly be enforced in 2024.
- Fees must be paid in full before a student can recommence classes for the next term or participate in the annual concert.
- Parents must not alter accounts, if you feel it is incorrect, please contact Miss Leonie.
- Payment plans are available, please contact Miss Leonie to discuss options.
Refunds
- No refunds will be given for those classes missed by a student or a student that withdraws from classes, however in the case of unforeseen cancellation by the dance school a credit will be organised by Miss Leonie.
- If a student decides to leave, a written notice is permitted before the beginning of the next term to avoid being charged future fees, however again term fees are non-refundable if a student leaves mid- term.
Payment
- Payment of fees may be made through Direct Deposit or Cash. Please quote students name or invoice number as reference when paying with direct deposit, or cash in a labelled envelope to Miss Leonie.
Registration Fee
- A $25.00 fee is charged when enrolling to contribute towards Dance Insurance and Music Licensing. This fee is charged at the start of the enrolment for the year. This will be included on your first invoice.
By submitting your enrolment, you are stating that you have read and clearly understand all Terms & Conditions of Leonie’s Academy of Dance and agree to follow them.
