Lighthouse Studios – Terms & Conditions

 Fees & Payments

1.1 All class fees are charged on a term basis and must be paid in full upfront or by the end of the first week of term, or immediately upon enrolment if enrolling after the term has commenced.

1.2 An annual $65 registration fee applies and is non-refundable under all circumstances.

1.3 A $25 late fee per week may apply to payments not received by the due date until all outstanding fees are paid in full.

1.4 No pro-rata fees, credits, refunds, or discounts are provided for absences due to illness, holidays, public holidays, or withdrawal once a term has commenced.

2. Payment Plans

2.1 Payment plans are offered strictly at the discretion of Lighthouse Studios and are intended as short-term assistance only. Approval of a payment plan does not alter the total fees payable.

2.2 Where approved:

• Payment plans are limited to two (2) instalments only

• The first instalment must be paid by the end of the first week of term

• The final instalment will be processed two (2) weeks later

• All payment plans must be finalised within four (4) weeks of the commencement of term

• All payment plans are processed via automatic debit or credit card payments on fixed dates

• A valid debit or credit card must be provided and kept on file for the duration of the payment plan

• Weekly, monthly, or extended payment plans are not offered

2.3 If a scheduled payment fails or is declined, Lighthouse Studios reserves the right to:

• Cancel the payment plan without notice; and

• Require the entire outstanding balance to become immediately payable.

2.4 Students on payment plans who withdraw, cancel, or cease attendance mid-term remain responsible for full term fees.

3. Mid-Term Enrolments

3.1 Families enrolling after the commencement of term may have fees adjusted to reflect remaining classes, at the sole discretion of Lighthouse Studios.

3.2 Payment is required prior to the student attending class.

3.3 Any approved payment plan for a mid-term enrolment remains subject to the studio’s standard payment plan structure and must not extend beyond the end of the term.

4. Refunds, Withdrawals & Class Delivery

4.1 Once a term has commenced, no refunds are provided for class or registration fees under any circumstances.

4.2 No make-up classes are offered for absences.

4.3 Concert, performance, and/or competition costume fees remain payable in full even if a student withdraws, cancels, or ceases attendance.

4.4 Classes may transition to online or alternative delivery formats where required. Where classes continue in any alternative format, no refunds or credits will be issued.

5. Attendance & Conduct

5.1 Students must be financial (fees paid in full or an approved payment plan in place and up to date). Lighthouse Studios reserves the right to refuse or suspend attendance where fees remain outstanding.

5.2 Parents and spectators are not permitted to watch classes while they are in session, including crew training.

5.3 Appropriate dance attire must be worn at all times.

5.4 Photography and video recording are not permitted during classes or rehearsals, except where expressly permitted by Lighthouse Studios.

5.5 Students who are unwell must not attend classes. Lighthouse Studios reserves the right to refuse entry or participation where required for health and safety.

6. Medical & Safety

6.1 All injuries, medical conditions, and relevant health information must be disclosed prior to participation.

6.2 In the event of an emergency, Lighthouse Studios may seek medical treatment if a parent or guardian cannot be contacted. Any associated medical, ambulance, or hospital costs remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Participation in classes and activities is undertaken at the student’s own risk. Lighthouse Studios is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property except where required by law.

8. General

8.1 By enrolling, parents, guardians, and students acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to all Lighthouse Studios policies and Terms & Conditions.

8.2 Lighthouse Studios reserves the right to amend fees, schedules, policies, and Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated via official studio channels.

8.3 Continued enrolment and/or attendance constitutes acceptance of the current Terms & Conditions.
