Our Commitment to a Safe & Respectful Studio

At Metro Modelling & Dance Academy, our guidelines are in place to ensure the studio remains a positive, welcoming second home for all students and families.

We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for every student, family member, staff member, and faculty.

Bullying of any kind towards students and staff will not be tolerated.

Any incidents will result in the family being dismissed from the studio indefinitely. This policy exists to protect the wellbeing, confidence, and learning experience of our entire Metro community.

Families dismissed from the studio are not entitled to refunds for the remainder of their course. Any outstanding fees will be referred to a debt collection service.

To help maintain a safe and respectful space:

Studio foyers and facilities must be treated with care, including the proper disposal of rubbish.

For safety reasons and to avoid disruptions to classes, children must not run in hallways or reception areas.

Families are asked not to post images or comments on social media that may negatively impact the self-esteem, privacy, or wellbeing of any Metro student or family.

By enrolling at Metro Modelling & Dance Academy, families agree to uphold these values and help us maintain a confident, inclusive, and supportive studio culture.

Our Studio Core Values

At Metro Modelling & Dance Academy, we are proud to be a family focused studio where every student is supported, encouraged, and valued. While we maintain strong professional standards, our priority is creating a positive environment where students feel safe, confident and excited to learn.

We believe that when students feel they belong, they thrive, not only as performers, but as people.

Belonging

We create a studio that feels like home -  welcoming, inclusive, and supportive.

Every student is respected and encouraged, no matter their age or experience.

Integrity

We teach kindness, honesty, respect, and responsibility, both in and out of the studio.

Passion

We nurture a genuine love for Modelling, Dance and Performing Arts, encouraging students to express themselves and enjoy their journey.

Growth

We focus on building confidence, resilience, and personal development at every stage. Progress looks different for every student and we celebrate it all.

Professionalism

We introduce students to commitment, respect, and high standards in a positive, age-appropriate way, preparing them for opportunities without pressure.

Communication & Support

We value open, respectful communication and are always happy to support our families. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress, class placement, or experience at Metro, please contact us via email at [email protected] so we can arrange a suitable time to chat.

To ensure clear and supportive communication for everyone, we kindly ask families not to discuss concerns with other parents or approach teachers/staff during or between classes.

Our admin team will be happy to assist and guide you.

Class Attire

Why Class Uniforms Matter

At Metro Modelling & Dance Academy, our uniform policy helps create a positive, focused and inclusive environment for all students. Wearing the correct uniform:

- Ensures every student feels equal and included, helping to build confidence without distraction or comparison

- Supports a professional and focused mindset in class, so students can fully engage in learning and performing

- Promotes safety and comfort, allowing teachers to observe technique clearly and reduce the risk of accidents

- Encourages modesty and respect, with no exposed midriffs or inappropriate clothing, so all students feel comfortable and confident

By following our uniform guidelines, students can focus on developing their skills, creativity, and confidence while enjoying the supportive, welcoming culture of our studio.

Annual Show

Each year, Metro Modelling & Dance Academy presents our Big Annual Show, a highlight of the student experience!

This exciting event is part of our curriculum and encourages teamwork, confidence, and performance skills, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase what they’ve learned.

Participation in the Annual Production is optional, though we encourage  students to take part for an incredible experience. Every class performs a routine, giving families and friends a chance to celebrate their child’s achievements in one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Participation incurs additional cost to families and will be in our first package in Term 2.

Dates for the Annual Show will be released in mid Term 1.

Photoshoots

Photoshoots are held in Term 2 and Term 4 for our Modelling students. These sessions provide a valuable experience behind the camera, helping students understand the world of professional photography and modelling while building their portfolio.

Participation in photoshoots is optional and incurs an additional cost for families.

Dancers are also offered a photoshoot in Term 4.
