Term 3 - Saturday 19th July - Thursday 25th September - 10 weeks
Term 4 - Saturday 11th October - Thursday 11th December - 9 Weeks

Final Studio Rehearsals - Sunday 16th November
Show Date: Friday 21st November 

Metro Modelling & Dance Academy strives to encourage all students to enjoy and excel in all areas of Modelling, Dance, Acrobatics and Performing Arts. It is important to provide a positive environment for each student to grow and focus on their own natural abilities and talent. At the Academy we pride ourselves in helping each individual student to build their self-esteem, discipline and passion for their chosen category.

GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT
Metro Modelling & Dance Academy do not tolerate any bullying of any kind to any students/faculty or studio owner. If there is any occurrence, family will be dismissed from the studio indefinitely, we pride on a positive and confident learning outcome for all our students and families.
Students and families dismissed from the studio receive no refunds for the remainder of their course, any fees that are owing will be sent directly to a debt collector. 

All Studio foyers are to be treated with respect, including the removal of rubbish. Please refrain your child/s from running up and down hallways or reception area; this is a safety reason as also to not disrupt classes that are running.

Please do not post images or comment on any social media site or thread that could compromise the self-esteem of students who attend Metro Modelling and Dance Academy. 

CLASS CODE OF CONDUCT

 - Attend your class with a happy and positive attitude
 - Each student must be on time to classes
 - No chewing gum
 - No food is allowed
 - Drink bottles must only contain water
 - Class uniform must be worn
 - Mobile phones are to be on silent and stored away from the class
 - No jewelry is allowed in dance classes

School age students:  Must not be socializing in a disruptive manner during class time with other students.
If you have questions or concerns about your child’s dance or modelling education (such as progress or class placement), please discuss them with the Studio Owner by email only.
Discussing your concerns with other parents can lead to misinformation and confusion. Please contact the academy office to set up an appointment; do not approach your child’s teacher or the director between or during classes. 

FEES

Yearly Enrollment Fee: $35.00 Yearly Per Student - $50.00 Family Enrolment (Siblings Only), Enrolment is not secure until payment recieved

• All course fees must be paid in full up front or a fortnighly direct debit form must have completed and returned by the 2nd week of when the student commences the course.
• Extra costs will be incurred should you proceed with direct debit as your remittance option, Fortnightly Payment Options – Debt Success – 19 or 20 week courses only

If the direct debit declines more than twice in a repayment cycle, it will be immediately cancelled and all outstanding monies will be required to be remitted in full. Students will not be able to return to any class until the monies have been recovered. Outstanding fee’s will also result in students not permitted to participate in any events, photo shoots, Annual Shows, etc. that are being held within Metro Modelling & Dance Academy.

•  No refunds, discounts or credits will be given for missing/cancelled classes for any reason,  If a class or several classes are missed for a serious illness when enrolled in a semester class, this can be discussed with the Studio Principal.
  

• Once enrolled on Class Manager portal for any classes at Metro Modelling & Dance Academy you are taking a position in that specific or those specific class/es and Fees are due. 
  
  
• COVID - In the case the studio is forced to shut or changes to the vaccination rule come in to affect as per Government Mandates there are no refunds, your fees will be on hold to go towards makeup lessons and/or zoom classes online as we will still be offering a service. 
• All external debt recovery costs including any legal costs for the collection of fees will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian for payment.

• Invoices not paid by due date, will receive a $10.00 late fee added to your invoice each week after due date. 
• Payments can be made in Cash, Bank Transfer or EFTPOS (1.8% surcharge applies) American Express Not Available
• Discounts - Metro Offer Discounts for Families and/or students that partake in Multiple Classes. 
  Courses with Discounts in Modelling, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop. 
• Unlimited Packages are available for even more great discounts (Limited Spaces Available)

TERMS/SEMESTER RE-ENROLLMENT
All students will automatically be re-enrolled by term or semester during the year 2025
Parents/Guardians must give notice by email no later than the Friday of the last week or term/semester if they choose to no longer continue classes. If you do not notify the studio your child has taken the placement in the class and invoice will need to be paid in full for their enrolment. 

PHYSICAL CONTACT

·         Parents are advised that modelling and dance programmes may require physical contact with the students which will assist in the understanding of movement, posture and correction of techniques.

VIEWING CLASSES

·         The Academy does not allow spectators or any person to watch classes at any time,  This ensures the security, comfort, safety whilst helping students build their confidence - This does not include Mummy & Me Classes (Wiggles)

WORKING WITH CHILDREN

·         The Principal, staff and teachers of Metro Modelling and Dance Academy will have current Working with Children Check as required by law.

UNIFORM

·         All students must abide by the strict uniform requirements, be groomed suitably for their class and be ready for the class at least 5 minutes prior to commencement time. The uniform consists of:

PERSONAL ITEMS

·         No responsibility will be taken for the loss or damage to personal items that a student brings to class.

MOBILE PHONES AND RECORDING DEVICES

·         All mobile phones must be turned off or onto a silent mode prior to entering class. Photographing or filming any or all of a class is strictly prohibited unless the instructor has given permission in special circumstances. Instructors or teachers may film choreography or take photos during classes for the use of promotional and training purposes.

CLASS TIMES

·         All students must be punctual for their classes and be at least 5 minutes early.

CHILD COLLECTION

·         It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that they arrive on time to collect their child from class. Metro Modelling & Dance Academy are not responsible for children once classes have finished. All students under the age of 12 years must be collected from the Studio Foyer.
If Parents are running late please notify staff as soon as possible. 
Late fee will be charged to parents account to pay for our staff to be present for your child, this includes any persons awaiting to be picked up that are over 12yrs of age. 
Fee will be charged at $1.00 after the 1st five minutes.
After 10 mins the fee is $2.50
                                                                                

EATING AND DRINKING

·         No food is allowed in the foyer or during class unless specified for a special event. Only water is allowed in class and a drink bottle must be bought to each class for hydration.

TOILET

·         Please ensure that all students have been to the toilet prior to their class commencement to avoid disruption during class times

PHOTOSHOOTS

·         Metro Modelling and Dance Academy reserves the right to use students’ images free of charge for the purpose of trade, advertising and promotional publication to promote the Academy. No responsibility will be taken on any images that are ordered from photoshoots and social media distribution by students.

·         Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your Studio Principal/ Manager.

COMMUNICATION

·         All communication, notes and reminders are primarily processed via email. If you consent to receive this information from Metro Modelling and Dance Academy and will not be held responsible for any loss of information or damages suffered by you in the unlikely event of a virus or similar issue, which could be transmitted without our knowledge.

• No teachers are to be interrupted during their class time and/or during class change over, if you need to speak to teacher, a meeting will need to be arranged or you can discuss with our admin team. 

 

ANNUAL SHOW

·         We offer our Big Annual Show each year as this is part of student’s courses. This encourages and displays a team effort and is very important to students learning outcomes.
Annual Production is not Compulsory - if you wish to partake the following dates are below

Compulsory Studio Rehearsals - SUNDAY 16th November
Show Date: FRIDAY 21st November

STUDENTS BEHAVIOUR

·         All students must have respect for themselves and others at all times whilst in class, attending events and in general. If a student is disrespectful to their teachers, fellow students or the Metro Modelling and Dance Academy name and does not abide by the studio rules, termination of the student from the course may occur. The principal of the studio as well as the company director will make this decision. In the event of this occurring fees will not be refundable.

EXTRA COSTS

·         Extra costs may occur on top of the class enrolment fees including but not limited to; photoshoots, events, annual show, specific class requirements.

Metro do not run on Public Holidays, an alternative class will be made for the missed public holiday.

Office/Studio opens upon 5mins to the start of classes for the day for students to come in.
