Terms and Conditions

BOOKING CLASSES

All our classes (with the exception of Baby Boppers & Lollipops classes) need to be booked and paid for in advance.

After an initial (paid) trial lesson, dancers will need to book and pay for each whole half-term block for their class(es). We do not offer pay-as-you-go prices or casual drop in / one-off session bookings, and there will be no price reduction if you are not able to make any of the class lessons, for whatever reason, in a block.

Our half-term block prices include a 10% pre-booking and pre-payment discount. This discount is only available where payment is made by the due date stated for that half-term block.

ATTENDING CLASSES

Class attendees should arrive in their dance clothes (please see our uniform page for details). Dance shoes may be changed into once you are in the ballroom for your class.

Children under secondary school age should be seen into the building by their parent/carer to ensure that they are correctly booked in before being left for class(es). We cannot be responsible for the children until they are in their class(es)/lesson(s), and no child under secondary school age should be left unsupervised in the building at any time.

We do not have a waiting room for parents/non-class attendees in the building.  However, we do ask that a parent or carer of any pre-school aged children attending classes remains on the premises (in the building or car park) whilst their child's class take place.

FIRE ALARM PROCEDURE

If there is a fire alarm whilst your child is in class with us please do NOT attempt to remove them from the lesson.  All children will be evacuated to the Fire Assembly point by our staff, where the children can be collected from their class teacher.

MOBILE PHONES

Whilst we understand that mobile phones are an important part of everyday life for our dancers and can play an important part in making them feel safe and secure, we also recognise that they are a huge distraction to some children and can be used for some undesirable behaviours.

Children are, therefore, not permitted to use their phones during lessons, unless permission is given by the teacher, for example for filming steps or routines to practice at home.

Any phones brought into class must be switched off or on silent so as not to disturb the class and teachers may ask children to put their phones into a 'phone box' during class. Phones used during class may be confiscated by the teacher to be returned at the end of the lesson, or passed to the next teacher to return, as appropriate.

ILLNESS AND INJURY

If your child is ill then please do not bring them to class(es); if they are too ill for school then they are too ill for class.  They are better off resting at home and not sharing germs with their classmates or teachers.

Children should not participate in class(es), competitions, displays, etc if they are injured.  They may attend class(es) to watch and keep up with choreography if desired.  The class teacher (referring to the Principal, if necessary) has the final say over whether or not a child can participate in any class, event, etc.
