Terms and Conditions

Photography / Filming Consent *

I give permission for the student to be photographed/filmed for marketing purposes, which may include the internet. (Please let us know in writing if you do not agree)


Annual Memberships
An annual membership is now mandatory for all students. This is to help cover the day to day costs of the school including rent, insurance, bills, licenses and processing fees. There are 4 levels to chose from dependant on how many classes you or your family members attend per week.Memberships are non refundable. Memberships can be upgraded at any point throughout the year for the additional pro-rata fee. If classes with the MCD school are cancelled before your membership expiry date your benefits will still continue to the end of your membership.

Membership Fee *

I understand that my annual membership starts from The date I sign the terms and condition form and I will receive the additional benefits from this date. I understand that my membership fee is due before the beginning of the school year in order to hold my space or once the school year has started it is due within two weeks of starting classes with the MCD school and is non refundable.


Class Payments *
I agree that class places from September 2020 are ongoing until July 2021 unless a months notice is received in writing by 15th Month to confirm that the student will not be attending the following month - If I give less than a months notice I agree to pay the following month’s fee.


Monthly Instalments
Monthly Payments are due on 2nd of the month unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Principle. A late fee (£10) may be added to your fees to cover the admin costs if your payments are not paid on time.
*Direct Debits must be set up upon booking. You will be sent an online form to complete, we will then set up and send a payment schedule.
*Cash Payments are are only accepted upon agreement with the principle and are due on the first week of the month.  

Monthly Payments *

I agree to pay the fees owed on time. I understand that a late fee may be added to my fees if I do not pay my fees on the agreed date. I understand that the class is non refundable once a place is booked and that I must give one months notice in writing if I wish to cancel a class.

Cancellation policy
Our classes are calculated by taking the number of classes for the school year and dividing by the number of months in the school year so your fee will be the same every month regardless if a half term or holiday falls during that month.

ONE MONTHS NOTICE IN WRITING VIA EMAIL to [email protected] IS REQUIRED IF YOU WISH TO AMEND OR CANCEL A CLASS. Alternatively, please use our online form on our website. All amendments must be received prior to 15th for the changes to take effect from the next month’s invoice. Any received after 15th, will be actioned on the following month’s invoice.

Please don’t cancel a dd unless you have not received a response after 14 days of sending your email.  
It takes us longer to complete the cancellation process if a dd is improperly cancelled.

Cancelling a Class *

I understand how class fees are calculated and I agree to give one months notice in writing if I wish to cancel a class.


Additional Terms and Conditions

Refunds
Refunds will not be given once term has begun. Individual class refunds will only be issued if a class is cancelled due to teacher illness. MCD always have an “extra week” in which any cancelled by MCD classes can be made up at the end of term. Refunds will not be given for missed classes by students and classes cannot be carried over to the next term. However, if prolonged illness occurs concessions may be made.

In case of lockdown- MCD will remain open via online streaming/ remote access. No refunds will be given as online classes will be available and strict 1 months cancellation policy will remain in place.

Physical Contact 
Students and Parents/Carers must be aware that due to the nature of the dance and singing classes it is necessary for the teacher to have physical contact with students from time to time. If students would prefer a teacher not to have physical contact with themselves or their child MCD must be notified in writing.

Medical attention during class
Minor injuries may be treated by the teacher using a first aid kit which is provided by the school unless a letter advising to the contrary is received in writing from a parent or legal guardian.

Behavioural Policy
MCD prides itself on being a happy school with enjoyment being the centre of all our classes. The behavioural policy exists to maintain this environment and enable pupils to reach their full potential. Any disruptive behaviour both in class and in the waiting areas will not be tolerated. The Director and teachers have the right to ask pupils to leave the class at any time if they feel that their behaviour is either inappropriate or spoiling the enjoyment for other pupils. If disruptive or inappropriate behaviour continues, the pupil may be asked to leave MCD. Bullying in any form is not tolerated and will be dealt with severely, there will be a three strike rule. The Director and teachers have the right to ask pupils to leave the class and or school if bullying continues and three strikes have to be issued.

Uniform
Correct uniform must be worn at all classes. All Ballet students from Grade One upwards must be correctly groomed with hair in a bun. Disco/Modern, Jazz and Tap hair must be off the face and tidy. No jewellery is to be worn except for stud earrings. Please ensure that ALL uniform items are labelled with the pupils’
name. All the uniform requirements are available under the class descriptions on our website.

Covid-19 Update
—- SHOES —-
Please note that shoes are now mandatory in every class! Outdoor shoes or socks cannot be worn to replace forgotten dance shoes.
I understand that students will not be able to participate without appropriate dance shoes or blochsox.

Masks and Social Distancing
Parents are required to wear a mask upon drop off and collection, and maintain social distancing from other parents at all times

Children under 11 are not required to wear a mask unless they would like to.

Children 11 and over must wear a mask to enter and exit the studio until they are in their assigned dance space but are not required to wear a mask whilst dancing unless they wish to do so.

Entry and Exits
Apart from classes for 4-6y there will be no waiting area, parents are asked to drop off and leave once their child has entered the sudio. There will be a clearly marked entry and exit system for both The Fitness Hub and Bracklesham Barn.

Parents of those in age 3-6y classes can wait in assigned areas incase your child needs to visit the toilet but must wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times.

Hand sanitiser will be available, please use on your in and out of the buildings

Personal Affects
Please only bring to class what you need for class!

Temperatures and Symptoms
From time to time we may take children’s temperatures on their way into class following the governments guidelines. If your child has a temperature above 37.5 or your child is showing any symptoms you will be asked to go home. Please note that refunds will not be issued for missed classes due to a high temperature or isolating.

Online Classes 
Online classes:
If we are unable to offer classes in person due to Covid-19 we will try our best to offer an online alternative.

Therefore by signing the below disclaimer you are agreeing to:

Participants understand they are undertaking the activities at their own risk. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times whilst participating in classes. Miss Carla Dance accepts no responsibility for any injury or damage.

I understand that the “live streamed” videos will be saved to Google Drives and can be accessed only by students enrolled in that class and will be deleted after 7 days.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the code is kept private, so please ensure that the email address we have is a private one and to let MCD know immediately, if you believe your email to have been hacked so that a new code can be issued immediately in line with our Child Protection policy.


Class Disclaimer:
I acknowledge and accept that neither The MCD School nor the organiser(s) are under any liability whatsoever in respect to any personal injury whist the above student is in attendance of any MCD classes/workshops/performances/events or in the waiting/changing area of the MCD school premises Or during online classes and that the student is my sole responsibility.

Food Allergies 
I am aware that snacks which contains wheat/nut/dairy products may be sold or offered to the above student and I take personal responsibility for safe guarding the above student in case of allergies.

Under 16's
I agree that I am responsible for dropping off and collecting my child at the end of the class on time.
I allow the student to go to the toilet unattended. I understand that if I do not agree I will stay in the waiting area and accompany them to the toilet myself.
