Terms and Conditions
1. I understand that Moray Dance will, under their duty of care, ensure a safe and structured environment for my child. I understand all physical activity has an element of accidental injury but that the teacher will prepare and execute classes in a way to minimise risk.
2. I understand that a minimum of three weeks must be paid when first joining a class. I understand in doing this it ensures my child has had enough time to settle in and get to know the teacher.
3. Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer.
4. 1. Updated Class Notice Policy DURING THE HOLIDAYS
To help us plan classes smoothly, we ask for one weeks notice, before the term starts, if your dancer will not be returning after a holiday period.
How to Give Notice
• Notice must be given at least 1 week before the next term starts.
• If notice is given after one week, then the it reverts back to the mid term notice policy, which is one months notice
• The notice period will begin from the first week of the new term.
How the Notice Period Works
• The notice period applies only to classes that are running.
• Any weeks where classes are not scheduled—and therefore not charged—are not included in the notice period.
Your dancer is welcome to continue attending during the notice period.
2. Updated Class Notice Policy MID TERM
To help us plan classes smoothly, we ask for one month’s notice if your dancer will not be returning mid‑term.
How to Give Notice
• Notice must be given at least 24 hours before the next class.
• If notice is given on the day of the class, the notice period will begin from the following week.
How the Notice Period Works
• The notice period applies only to classes that are running.
• Any weeks where classes are not scheduled—and therefore not charged—are not included in the notice period.
Your dancer is welcome to continue attending during the notice month.
Credits and Refunds
• After the notice period, you will receive a credit for the remaining term fees.
• Credits can be used for other classes or dancewear.
• Credits cannot be used for shows or exams.
If your dancer does not join any other classes with us, we will issue a refund via cash or bank transfer.
5. I understand that refunds are not available for odd missed classes as the class still operates and the pupil retains their place in the group. Exceptions will be made with a doctors note.
6. I understand that all invoices are to be paid before we finish for the end of term, otherwise a late fee will be applied.
7. I understand my child must be dressed appropriately for all classes after the initial three weeks. Please ask for our uniform list.
8. I understand photographs and videos may be taken during class, exams and performances. These are used to promote Moray Dance in various ways including our social media platforms.
9. If you wish for your child not to be photographed or filmed please let a member of staff know.
10. I understand that if I wish to take photographs or videos during the class I will first ask the teacher.
11. I understand that Moray Sports Centre, Elgin, has a no outside food or drink policy, bar water for the dancers.
12. I understand that Moray Sports Centre, Elgin, disabled car parking requires a disabled badge, and the drop off/pick up section is not permitted for parking.
13. I understand that Moray Sports Centre, Elgin, does not allow grown ups to wait upstairs unless I am a member due to the gym equipment being used by the general public.
14. I understand that in all venues (Moray Sports Centre, Forres House and Lossiemouth High School) are open to all general public. Should I wish to change my child I will do so with that thought in mind. This is to protect the dancers and the public members who use the facilities.
15. I understand that I will take my child to the toilet before their class.
16. I understand that Moray Dance are encouraging one grownup to one dancer in any classes where grownups are invited.
COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Moray Dance will adhere to safe practice to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
We ask for each student to bring as little as possible into their class.
We will sanitise and ventilate all studios to our best ability.
We will follow all mandatory guidelines given by the Scottish Government as well as Moray Council.
