Lesson Expectations
- Dancers should aim to arrive on time for classes. Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled start time and use the back room to get your shoes on before the lesson begins.
- Please note the entry/exit system in place at both the start and end of classes. It ensures a prompt start to all classes. Children will be dismissed from their lesson and are to be collected from the back room. Children will be supervised at all times inside the building, however please aim to be punctual when collecting your children.
- We expect initiatives, plans and tasks set by NMA to remain confidential. Appropriate platforms on WhatsApp/Instagram/Class Manager will be provided which are intended for use by groups of NMA students and parents where necessary.
At Feises
- We will support our fellow dancers at all times, particularly at competitions. We will be happy and proud of them when they succeed, and congratulate them.
- When we are at a feis we understand that we are representing NMA and the way we act is a reflection of the values we promote. We will always present ourselves well and act in an appropriate manner. ALL wigs/costumes/shoes must be approved by teachers.
- When at a competition, dancers must use designated changing areas. As per CLRG rules, girls should not be walking around in kick pants.
- When we are competing, we will not boast to other dancers, we are all equal.
- No parent/child from NMA to sit on the front row at Feises. Likewise no children to congregate around the judges table whilst competitions are taking place.
Expected Behaviour
- Any breach may result in possible exclusion from class.
- A second time breach of the code of conduct will result in further repercussions and possible dismissal from NMA.
