STATEMENT OF SAFETY

Olympus Academy Training Centers is proud of its professional staff; most of whom are safety certified and continue to update their professional growth and safety training. There can be injuries of all kinds, from bruises to broken bones to permanent disabilities (possibly paralysis), to death. Our safety measures strive to ensure reasonable safety, but this does not guarantee that the children will never be injured.

Gymnastics Club Absence, Term Cancellation, and Refund Policy

Absence Policy:

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to occasional absences from classes. While we encourage consistent attendance for the best progress and development of our students, we acknowledge that absences are sometimes inevitable. Therefore, if a student misses a class, it does not affect the pricing or enrolment for the subsequent term. We do not deduct missed classes from the fees of the following term.

Term Cancellation Policy:

When you enrol in our gymnastics classes, we reserve a spot for you for the entire term. This commitment ensures that we can plan our class sizes effectively and provide the best experience for all students. In the event that you need to cancel your enrolment for the term, we require advance notice. However, please note that we do not issue refunds for cancelled terms. This policy is in place because we allocate resources and reserve a place in the class for the entire term, turning away other potential students in the process. Therefore, if you cancel your enrolment for any reason, including unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to provide a refund.

Refund Policy Statement:

It's important to emphasize that refunds are not issued if a term is canceled in advance. By enrolling in our classes, you agree to this policy. We strive to be fair and transparent with all our customers, and we appreciate your understanding of the need for this policy.

Injury

If your child feels unusual pain or discomfort, it is your responsibility to tell the coach immediately if they are not already aware of the injury.

If your child injures themselves during class, a coach must be informed on the day of the injury, if they are not already aware of it.

To ensure their safety, children must obey all coaches at all times

Communications - We communicate via various platforms, such as reception announcements, handouts, email, social media, texting, and our website. Connect with us by liking us on Facebook/Instagram, signing up to receive emails and texts, and visiting our website for upcoming events. We recommend that parents monitor these platforms to make sure that information is updated.

Lost & Found - The lost & found box in your gym can be found by asking office staff. On the first of every month, it is emptied and donated to a charitable organization. Please check it often.

Food and drink are not permitted in the gym workout area.

Photographs - We enjoy celebrating the achievements of our students by posting photos and videos on our bulletin boards and company social media accounts (Facebook/Instagram). Some photos are even featured in our marketing materials, including brochures, websites, and flyers for special events. To respect the privacy of our students, we do not post children's full names or any other personal information with their pictures. Please let the office know if you do not want your child's image to be used at any time.

Procedures for Productive Classes

Please be on time for class – This is extremely important! At the beginning of class, we do warm-ups, take roll, cover safety rules, and explain special announcements. If you are running late, please ask an office staff member to walk your child into the gym.

Regular attendance is important – Gymnastics or Ballet is a sport that uses progressions to build skills and missing classes may cause your child to fall behind the rest of the class.

Students only in the gym – Only participating students are permitted in the gym area during class time (unless otherwise instructed). Students are not allowed on any of the equipment before or after their class unless supervised by an instructor. Parents are asked not to converse with the students while in a class situation.

Clothing Requirements

Attire for classes and special activities – We recommend girls wear leotards or elastic waist shorts and t-shirt. The boys are required to wear elastic waist shorts with no buttons, buckles or zippers. Students participate barefoot and with bare legs (no leg tights, please). Hair that is long enough to be pulled back needs to be securely tied up to assure safety for the student and instructor.

No jewellery– Jewellery of any kind is not allowed in the gym. It can be dangerous to students, instructors, and can damage the equipment. We are not responsible for any belongings left in the facility. Please leave valuable items at home.

We do not issue refunds for missed classes.
