MEDIA CONSENT

Occasionally, staff member may like to take photographs of the children at the school. These images may be used in printed publications, on our school website or social media pages, or on displayed around the school.

• Sometimes our school may be visited by the media who may who to take photographs or film footage of an event or a particular achievement. Pupils will often appear in these images, which may appear in local newspapers or on television.
• Showcases that Pendle Academy produce or events that the school partake in may be filmed. In this instance DVD's/Digital Media Files will be available for purchase by friends and families of those pupils connected to the dance school.
• Pendle Academy will not use personal details or full names alongside any image of a child or adult (which means first and surname). This includes photographic and recorded images.
• The school will not include personal e-mail, postal addresses or telephone numbers in any promotional material.
• We will only use images of pupils who are suitably dressed.

In order that we can protect your child's interests, and to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, Points 1 and 2 have been raised in the Parent questionnaire at registration in the 'Additional Information' section under your child's information. 

Please be assured if you have declined permission all staff will have been notified.

Due to changes in legislation regarding data protection called GDPR, we now require your permission to continue to contact you regarding various communications.Pendle Academy of Dance and Performing Arts will hold, store and retain your personal details for the benefit of receiving various communications relating to information about online and studio based classes, timetabling, fees, examinations, competitions, workshops and other dance school related events.
