Private Tuition Policy 

• Payment is for enrolment, not attendance. MISSED LESSONS will be charged. However, if you let me know by 8:30AM on the day of your lesson, I will try to reschedule at a mutually convenient time otherwise credit from next term’s account. Invoices will be sent after the first week of each term, so please let me know if school camps, excursions or appointments require rescheduling. Make up lessons are otherwise only offered in the case of illness when sufficient notice is given. There will be a make-up session each term that is filled on a first-come first-serve basis. 

• Please understand that the teacher has reserved this time for the student and has turned away other students who would love to have private lessons. Frequently missed lessons without reasonable explanation may result in cancellation of the enrolment. 

• Please arrive before the scheduled start time of your lesson. 

• Students should PRACTICE regularly at home, at least two-three days a week. In busy times, a short practice session is better than none!

• Students will be expected to purchase a METHOD BOOK and other material but the teacher will endeavour to help parents budget with advanced indication. 

• PROGRESS REPORTS in the form of verbal/written communication may be provided by the teacher from time to time. 

• EXAMINATIONS/COMPETITIONS: The teacher will not enter the student for any examination or competition without the prior consent of all parties. The teacher’s opinion as to what examinations/competitions are suitable at each stage of the student’s progress must be accepted by the student.
