Terms and Conditions
Before entering the school, parents must agree with our terms and conditions.
1) Terms of Payment
a) All fees are payable on a termly basis and must be paid within the deadline on the invoice. Cash and bank transfers are acceptable forms of payment. Any cash payments must be given in class in a sealed envelope with students name written on the front.
b) Existing students will be given an invoice for the term and students who join partway through the term will be emailed with the amount due.
c) Discounts apply to qualifying children, details of which will be indicated on their invoice.
d) We reserve the right to withhold examination results and suspend your child's classes until overdue fees have been settled.
e) Any term fee payments that are overdue by 4 weeks or more will be subject to a late fee charge of 10% of the total outstanding amount.
f) Unexpected absences during the term period is non-refundable.
2) Liabilities of the School
a) We are only responsible for children whilst they are in class. Parents that wish to leave their children at the school when they are not timetabled to be in lesson, do so at their own risk.
b) We do not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of personal property.
c) We do not accept liability for personal injury to any child attending any of classes.
d) All sessions are undertaken at the parent’s own risk. No responsibility is accepted by Performing Arts Collective Limited in the event of any loss of property or personal injury.
e) It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure the student must be in good health and physically fit before undertaking dance activities. If you are unsure, we recommend seeking professional medical advice before embarking on any physical activity or if you have any questions related to your health and physical fitness.
3) Child Protection
a) All staff are aware that they have a professional responsibility to protect children.
b) Due to the nature of dance, physical adjustments may be necessary in order to correct technical placement. This will always be conducted with the utmost care and professionalism.
c) We recognise that all matters concerning children are confidential and we will only disclose information if necessary.
d) On certain occasions we will need to take photographs or video recordings of the students and these will be used for advertising purposes (including the internet and social media). Any parent that is not in agreement with this must notify us in writing.
4) Cancellation of classes
a) We reserve the right to cancel classes if necessary and will make every effort to inform you of this via telephone, internet or word of mouth.
b) In the event of having to cancel a class we will invite the students to take part in another class of the same standard on another occasion or deduct the cost of the class from the next invoice.
c) In the event of a child having to cancel a private lesson every effort will be made to re-arrange it, however this is not always possible and it is at the discretion of the individual Teacher.
d) If your child cancels a private lesson at short notice, under no circumstances will the lesson be re-arranged. Short notice is considered to be less than 24 hours.
5) Termination of your child from the school
a) If you wish to take your child out of the school then you must give at least six weeks notice in writing. This must be during term time so does not include the school holidays.
b) During this period, we must receive the six week's payment of all the classes that your child is timetabled to take part in, regardless of whether they attend.
6) Contact Permission
Performing Arts Collective Limited would like to send you information about future projects/ workshops/ classes by email.
If you do sign up for our mailing list, we do not share this information with any third party. If you wish to opt out at any time, please email [email protected].
7) Video Recordings / Film Consent
a) Performing Arts Collective Limited would like to take the opportunity to rely on consent to take video recordings and photographic images of the student, which may be used of displays, marketing purposes to promote classes, the companies’ website, social media channels and publicity. These recordings may be used, reproduced and distributed in print, electronically and mechanically.
b) We have an online presence, including with Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. As such, we cannot offer any warranty or set any restriction on the subsequent on-line use of the video.
8) Workshops
a) Workshop fees are to be paid before the event (due date will be added to invoice).
b) Any cash payments must been given prior to the event in a sealed envelope with students name written on front.
c) For unexpected absences on the day of the workshops, payment is non-refundable.
d) Any cancellations for our workshops are non-refundable (unless Performing Arts Collective Limited have to cancel on their behalf).
9) COVID-19 terms & conditions
a) Due to the current situation classes can vary from studio or online depending on government guidelines.
b) If our classes will have to be transferred over to online zoom, all payments will be transferred to these classes.
c) Class payments will be the same cost regardless of if they are in a studio or on zoom or online.
d) If you cannot attend the time and date of the zoom classes, a link will be sent and can be watched in your own time and day on any device (including; mobile phone, tablet, laptop or computer).
