REVOLUTION THE MOVEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2023
TRIAL CLASS POLICY
- All Trial classes are to be pre-booked and paid via website www.revolutionthemovement.com.au
- Trials will only be available for classes with opening spaces
- All trials are held an opening position in the class for 24 hours after attending followed by formal registration
- Any trial that does not complete formal registration within 24 hours the position in the class will become available.
- If a class has reached maximum capacity any person/s will be placed on an emailed waiting list for availability
ENROLMENT POLICY
- All students enrolling to Revolution The Movement must complete registration via the online portal https://app.classmanager.com/portal/revolution-the-movement/register
- Class attendance and participation is not available if registration has not been completed.
- All members are enrolled for 12 months, registration is required upon a new year.
- Students are allocated into best suited classes by Revolution The Movement
- All registration and enrolment information is the responsibility of the student, parent or guardian to keep updated via the members portal.
PAYMENT / FEE POLICY
- Fees and pricing is advertised via member information forms and on our website*
- Classes are charged by the term.
- Classes and terms must be paid regardless of the students/members attendance there are strictly no refunds, returns, credits or transfers if the full term isn’t complete student/member.
- Class fees are not put on hold or transferred to alternate terms or weeks
- Term fees are can be paid in two options: Weekly direct debit (Primary payment option or quarterly term payments. Processing fees apply for both options.
- Direct Debit is set up once student/member has completed online registration before attending classes. (refer to processing fees in member information packs)
- Quarterly term payments must be processed before the first week of each term (refer to processing fees in member information packs)
- Any overdue invoice, the student/member will contacted and not be permitted to participate. Class position will be held for 2 weeks with the pending invoice. Should payment not be made this will result in un-enrolment from class.
- All overdue invoices are charged a late fee (refer to processing fees in member information packs)
- All additional casual open classes, private lessons and workshops are to be booked and purchased via www.revolutionthemovement.com.au
- All regular private lessons are added to direct debit or invoice
- All fees are not transferrable, refundable or credited. This includes workshops, events, showcase policy etc.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
- Students, Members and or Parent Guardians are responsible for contacting Revolution The Movement for absences 48 hours prior to class. [email protected]
- All absences are logged via Revolution The Movement portal with reason for absence. All absences must be communicated with Revolution The Movement admin only and the correct team member will be notified.
- All students/members are expected to attend class every week
- If a member is injured they are expected to attend class and observe
- Irregular attendance will result in the student or member being withdrawn from sections, routines or entirely from choreography. No refunds, returns, credits or rescheduled classes provided.
- Students are expected to be committed to their allocated class and not choosing between external social activities which will impact the class as explained above.
- Attendance to rehearsals (stage, dress, video, etc) is compulsory and mandatory. Should a student/member not attended they will be withdrawn form section or routine immediately
LATE POLICY
- Students/Members who are more than 5 minutes late to class are expected to apologise and are expected to the teacher and join and continue with class
- Students/Members who are more than 15 minutes late are expected to apologise to the teacher and may be asked to sit and observe to take notes depending on progress of the class
- It is appreciated that anyone who is aware they will be late contacts Revolution The Movement
- If student/member is consistently late they or parent guardian will be contacted about position in class and may be withdrawn
- Should a student be too late to participate no credits, refunds or exchanges are given.
RESCHEDULED OR CANCELLED CLASS
- Should your class fall on a public holiday a rescheduled lesson is determined by Revolution The Movement and communicated via portal and email.
- Should a class be canceled by Revolution The Movement a rescheduled lesson is determined by Revolution The Movement and communicated via portal and email.
- Public holiday and or cancelled rescheduled classes are not refundable, creditable or
transferrable.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY POLICY
- It is expected that all students must attended industry workshops and events over the school holidays.
- Should a student or member be away for the holidays this must be communicated with Revolution The Movement 3 weeks prior to holidays of each term
- All fees for school holiday workshops can be direct debited or paid via www.revolutionthemovement.com.au before attendance
- All students above the age of 7 are expected to take at least one private lesson each school holiday break. (Refer to member information pack for fees)
- School holiday programs are non refundable, non transferrable and non creditable
CASUAL CLASSES AND ADDITIONAL WORKSHOPS
- All open casual classes must be pre booked and paid via www.revolutionthemovement.com.au before attending class
- Casual class payments can be paid at the desk
- Members are provided discount code in information packs.
- All casual one classes are non refundable, non transferrable and non creditable
PRIVATE LESSONS
- Private lessons must be pre booked and paid before attendance (Refer to member information pack for fees)
- Private lessons are non refundable, non creditable non transferrable.
- All private lessons are provided a folder with student info and notes.
CANCELLATION / WITHDRAWAL POLICY
- Should a member wish to withdraw from classes or Revolution The Movement written notice is required two weeks before cancellation date
- There will be no credits refunds or returns for cancellations or withdrawals
- Students/members who choose to withdraw will be expected to pay out the remainder of fees owing for the class or classes
STUDIO LOYALTY POLICY
- Revolution The Movement is currently a Hip Hop Jazz studio, students are encouraged to attend as many classes and styles as they can per week
- Should a member attend another danced studio as well as Revolution The Movement it is required to get written permission from director at Revolution The Movement to avoid conflict of interest
- Should a student attend external workshops or classes it is a priority to ensure this does not clash with any Revolution The Movement commitments
- Should a member or student participate in external dance classes and become unavailable to commit 100% to Revolution The Movement, they will possibly be withdrawn from routines
UNIFORM POLICY
- All students must arrive to class in Revolution The Movement Merchandise or street dance wear (baggy tees tracksuit pants etc…)
- All Hip Hop style students must wear street dance sneakers (Nike, Converse, Adidas etc…)
- All Jazz students must wear tan jazz slippers
- A student or member must never come to class in school or work uniform
- Should a member be wearing an inappropriate or offensive garment of clothing it will be raised and discussed with member, parent or guardian in a polite private manner.
SHOWCASE POLICY
- The annual end of year showcase is compulsory for all members and students
- Some classes perform more than once in the showcase
- All members registered and enrolled are required to attend all pre show rehearsals in order to participate in the end of year show
- Costume fee Photo and Video fee must be paid by expected date and is not refundable or creditable or transferrable regardless of the student or members participation in the show
- Should a member or student not wish to perform in the annual showcase, written notice is expected by term 3 and communicated with the Revolution The movement direction and admin
- All tickets are sold online all spectator attendees must purchase a ticket
- Tickets are to be purchased promptly, Revolution The Movement will try their best to accomodate that no student or member misses out on tickets
FORCED CLOSURE POLICY
- In the event of any unforeseen circumstances where our studio may be forced to close, Revolution has the ability to proceed as normal online in a portal that provides access to videos and regular class lessons.
- no refunds or credits may be given it is optional for a student to continue but is preferred to continue as normal.
- Payment for online classes variable to circumstance (refer to member information pack)
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO POLICY
- Students/Members and parents are not permitted to film class choreography unless given permission by Revolution The Movement
- All photos internally and externally are not to be posted on social media or online without permission or media release waivers signed (upon registration)
- Showcases and mid year videos and class content will be posted on YouTube and at www.revolutionthemovement.com.au
- Revolution The Movement may use photographs and films as promotional content
- Teachers and Staff are not to film students without directors permission.
- All content captured will not be shares until permission and media release forms are agreed to by members
- All casual open classes are filmed and may be posted online
BEHAVIOUR POLICY
- Revolution The Movement does not tolerate the following: bullying, verbal abuse, shouting, excluding, isolation of a person, physical abuse, psychological harassment, criticism, insults, humiliation, belittling
- Should there be witnessed any of the above instant withdrawal from Revolution The Movement is actioned.
- If any of the above is happening members are to address and sort out otherwise it is to be reported to Revolution The Movement admin and direction team
- Students/Members are not to interfere or interrupt with teachers class or teaching it is expected that all students of any age respect the teacher in the teaching position at the time.
- Should a student be asked twice to behave this will result in the student sitting and observing whilst taking notes for the remainder of the class
- Should a student or parent post on social media negative, inappropriate, harmful or confidential information about Revolution The Movement and or its members the student and or family will be withdrawn from Revolution The Movement immediately.
PHYSICAL CONTACT POLICY
- Physical contact between Teacher and Student may be required to demonstrate or assist with dance or movement
- In the event of injury, physical contact will be required between a first aid qualified teacher or first aider and injured student
- Students/Members are expected not to have physical contact during class or classes that may lead to incidental behaviour. Should this be witnessed it must be reported to Revolution The Movement
STUDENT TEACHER POLICY
- Students and teachers should not be communicating socially through social media unless via portal platform or app, student information will be send out in emails and or given out during classes at the studio. All communications are don’t by admin for Revolution The Movement
- Students and teachers are not to pass on private personal contact information
- Inappropriate language or incident or communication must be reported to Revolution The Movement
- Teachers are not to drive students home or to venues
- All teachers are required to give feedback to students in due time weather during class or via email for appointment
FOOD DRINK AND ALCOHOL POLICY
- Food and drink is not permitted on the dance floor area of our studio, water bottle is the exception
- Nuts are not to be bought onto the Revolution The Movement premises. The premises is however not ensured to be nut free.
- All students are to bring their own water bottle, under no circumstance does a student share a water bottle with another student or member
- The consumption or possession of non prescribed drugs is prohibited at Revolution The Movement
- Parents, Students, Members, Staff and Volunteers must not be under any influence of illicit drugs or alcohol
- Anyone who represents the possession or influence of non prescribed drugs or alcohol is immediately dismissed.
INJURY FIRST AID POLICY
- In a situation of an Injury, the student/member will receive the appropriate treatment from a qualified first aider, Physical contact my be required
- In the situation where an ambulance may be required, they will be called by Revolution The Movement. The Parent/guardian or member will incur these costs
- In all injury situations the members parent and or emergency contact will be called using the contact given to Revolution The Movement
- All in-house injuries sustained whilst training or performing is the responsibility of the member/student or parent. No costs will be incurred by Revolution The Movement
- Injuries on premises may be recorded by an incident report
- Students who are injured are expected to attend and watch class and take notes, should this not be fulfilled withdrawal from performances may occur
HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
- Revolution The Movement maintain safe dance environments for all students and members. The studio meets safe dance practices
- Emergency procedures are understood by all staff to relevant locations
- All unsafe acts, procedures, limitations and conditions or hazards of any kind are recognised by all staff and volunteers at Revolution The Movement and will be eliminated
- Unsafe behaviour from members or parent guardians or persons attending will not be tolerated and dismissed due to unsafe environment
- All members, students and parent guardians are responsible for communicating injury or illness 48 hours or more prior to enrolment or classes
- In any event of injury Revolution The Movement will provide any appropriate treatment by.a qualified first aider, physical contact may occur
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for minors under 18 before and after class, Revolution does not provide supervision outside of class time
- Under no circumstance is a student or member under the age of 18 allowed to wait outside of the premises at any time. Under no circumstance is a minor allowed to leave unsupervised.
- All minors must have written permission should they be going home with parent guardian that is not on given registration forms
- Revolution The Movement must be notified of any allergies a member may have, Revolution The Movement will not be held responsible for any allergic reactions, however the correct assistance and care will be provided
- Fire extinguishes are located around the premises
- Any student who had been diagnosed by a Medical Practitioner or is at risk of anaphylaxis should bring correct medical procedures or EpiPen to class and should leave it with reception labeled with their name. The EpiPen will be administrated by a first aider, if required, under correct instruction 000 will be dialled by staff in an event of an emergency.
- Should an y student or member be displaying signs of illness in classes they will be dismissed or provided with a mask to sit take notes and observe
EMERGENCY EVACUATION POLICY
- In a situation of an emergency all staff and students will be notified
- Staff will guide and advice all in the building to safely and calm move to the nearest and most safe exit
- Staff will then direct all bodies to the front area of the studio or nearest safe alternative
COMMUNICATION AND PRIVACY POLICY
- Parents/Guardians to members themselves are responsible and expected for communicating with Revolution The Movement must communicate via email as well as face to face contact and or phone.
- If you are experiencing an issue by any means, a confidential conversation can be had with direction and min team at Revolution The Movement which is kept private and confidential
- If you are experiencing anything positive this is also encouraged to be communicated too
AGREEMENT TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By enrolling online the Member has read, signed and agreed to the T&C’S on the enrolment page and has received the Terms and Conditions in a downloadable PDF format. T&C’S can be found via our website.
